Guild jobs should not even be called Guilds. Everyone knows they are pathetic. There`s absoluely no real effort put into them at all.

I just don`t think the will was there as i`ve had more enjoyable and longer random quests.

Most of the 'guild' quest lines are short.

I wouldn't consider that anything was 'cut' to make way for other things, but I would suggest that the focus is more on what you do in the game, rather than what you are. It's probably a hang back to Fallout 3 where for many people just surviving the game and exploring was the main focus....perhaps that was what was considered here, but if so, Skyrim falls short, it simply doesn't have the desperate feel F3 did.

The main quests in the Guilds do seem allot shorter, and the adding of more smaller jobs would seem to suggest this is the case.

Opinions, opinions, don't assume them to be facts.

The guild quests are shorter but much better overall, although the Thieves Guild job quests are a chore to do though.

Guild quests were way too short and not very well thought out, not even well scripted for that matter. To say I'm rather disappointed would be an understatement.

The guild quest svcks man. Even Oblivion was better an they werent that good to begin with. Companions has to be the most boring guild in any TES game. The questline was way too repetetive ;" Go to this Silver hand fort and kill them". Even the Silver hand items were repetetive.

No argument about Companions, worst guild in game by far, although the other 3 are pretty good.

I have no problem with the length of those quest lines. I enjoyed all the quests in the game, there are sooo many quests in the game that them being shorter does not bother me.

Very short yeah, I could have sworn Oblivions were longer, definately Morrowinds, that isn't to say I didn't have fun with them, its just as I was getting into their quest lines all of a sudden I was their leader! I have random quests that are longer and have huge dungeons, so I guess the Guild quests were almost an after-thaught or its not where Bethesda were putting most of their focus! Maybe there will be an expansion or at least DLC that helps with more content?

This whole "Skyrim was rushed" bandwagon thing is old.

I was perfectly happy with the length of the guild quests. In fact, with the Thieves Guild, I thought it took TOO long to become Guild Master.

Acutally I recently heard an interesting piece.

Todd commented that originally the guild were all radiant quests....he said this was really boring (well Duh! Todd) and then they built in guild questlines to make them more interesting.

Certainly explains whys the guilds are so short....they were sort of tacted on to make the guilds better.

Now Morrowind had good Guild quests. Everyone took time and often needed you to meet a requirement first. I remeber each time I got promoted to a new rank by the Imperial boss or by the Nord woman of the Fighter`s Guild at Balmora I felt a real sense of getting somewhere.

My guess is they with Radiant Quests they thought they could just scimp on the "actual" quests.

Too short for my liking, the guilds became sort of side quests like any other rather than a long-term achievement.

Oh wow, that svcks. Well, at least Bethesda knows not to repeat that mistake in the future.

From my understanding guild quest line is not suppose to be considered one of the two main quest lines. Those two are the storm cloaks vs Impereal and the dragon one. Then there are three sub quest lines , Mage, champions and thieves then [censored]load of side quests.

I do miss guild ranks. In the previous games you gradually increased in rank and had a page listing your current standing in each of the guilds. Skyrim's guilds have just two -- worker-bee and guild boss.

I think the repeatable quests should be more difficult and more rewarding. The book retrieval quest for The College of Winterhold consist of you walking into the first room of a random dungeon, looting a book from a chest, and then taking it back to the librarian for 30 gold...lame.Instead, the book should be situated near the very end of the dungeon, you should get more gold, possibly a soul gem or some other magical item useful for magic-users, something that could be given to the player repeatedly without making said player overpowered.

I was disappointed with the brevity of the mage guild quest. I really thought it was going somewhere quite interesting with the psiijic and thalmor and then, poof, done and nothing. It really felt chopped.

Then again, I'm really digging my first foray into the Thieves guild and its quest. I hope I'm not let down on that one.

All in all though, I remain happily addicted to SK and dungeon-diving and being a word-wall [censored]. Love me some shouts!
