Arcade has a geek-cute thing going on, but his uppity vocal tones kind of ruin it for me.

I like Vulpes Inculta too, for the voice. In video games, it's usually about the voice actor for me than the pixel arrangement. If I love the voice then I become attached to the pixels.

There's probably a couple more non-companions that made me sit up and listen, so to speak, but I can't think of them off-hand.

Yes, the voice matters a lot. I even had a crush on Solid Snake in Metal Gear Solid; and not the game re-released on the Gamecube, but the original game on the PS1----pixelated block face and all. A good voice can make a character leap off the tv screen.

That's one reason why I find Vulpes oddly attractive. His face design is also unusual compared to the other male NPCs and it suits him perfectly. Then you add the wolf mask and well......sometimes I forget that I'm supposed to hate the Legion. :laugh:

What I like about Boone is that he can be very attractive or very average looking depending on the angle (he sometimes looks bloated) but his personality and voice acting is what appeals to me the most.

What's funny is that Jason Marden (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0005189/) is a short man and I know it's wrong for me to think this, but I would have never guessed that someone like him could have such a deep, slightly husky voice. It's unexpected. I know, shame on me for stereotyping.

As much as I feel that Bethesda/Obsidian needs to improve their character models, what I do like is that none of their creations look over the top. There's this simplicity and averageness to the face designs that makes everything more believable and makes the use of mods that alter your character to look like they popped out of an anime very off-putting.
