I hate that they re-skinned some of the weapons to look like their Reach counterparts rather than just polishing the original Combat Evolved versions and making them look nice like the rest of the graphic upgrades. Only other complaint is that the chief looks too blocky and cheap...dunno why I just think that they made him look like crap.

Pretty excited about this game still, it'll be nice to enjoy one of my all time favorite FPS games with updated graphics.

I might get it, not at release though. I never had the chance to play CE or 2 since I was a PS2 player that console generation, but I enjoyed 3 quite a lot. This seems like a good time to get into the first game in the series.

I played Halo 3 when it first came out. Played Halo 2 a month or so ago for the first time (and was actually playing it earlier tonight). I've been waiting to play the first one now, and I suppose this is as good a time as any to do it. I'll probably get it at launch, because I genuinely enjoy every Halo game, I've been dying to play this one in particular, the graphics are better than I'd get by just popping the old version in, and the $40 price for a new copy isn't asking too much.

Plus it apparently comes with more Reach multiplayer maps, revamped from the ones in the original game. Considering Bungie still made those, they're probably better than the garbage 343 has let happen.

Actually, the reason the weapons looked like the Reach weapons was because it was an earlier build. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UYfNBCHYHFE&feature=related shows the final versions of the Assault Rifle and the Pistol. They look exactly like the originals.
