Hand to Hand is Awesome

I just wanted to take the time to thank the developers. Am I the only one impressed with the brutal finishers when only using your fists? I just made a new khajiit and I'm planning on going all werewolf hand-to-hand with him and it's truly exhilarating hearing your opponent's bones breaking. I just stealth attacked the Imperial torturer in the tutorial area. After they were all dead, A stormcloak surviver badmouthed the Imperials. I punched the woman in the face and slammed her into the ground.

The finishing moves are nice, but bethesda really dropped the ball by not having a h2h skill, which is a big shame as it has so much potential...

Yes it is sad.

A perk tree is needed in a future expansion. There is still some hope, if they truly care.

Do you think they'll actually add a whole new skill tree in a DLC? Some people will think it's a way to basically force players into buying the DLC, because it should have been included in the vanilla game, such as Broken Steel in FO3? And I'm sure they've said that the perk system in Skyrim is so good, so improving it through DLC will contradict that, which will make them look bad, or admission of failure

I don't see why they wouldn't other than "it's fine the way it is"

But it's not fine the way it is, damn it. What would make them look bad is to not include it along with the rest of the expansion.

I agree it should have been kept as a skill and this is coming from someone that never uses hand to hand. As well as finishers it would have been nice to see paralyzing take downs for stelth characters for example

I wish they did, but unfortunately I don't see it happen, probably because they think it's fine :/

ya when i first experimented with bare handed attacks as a khajit, i was enjoying it, and it was easy to use since the early damage is better than most available weapons early in the game. but then when i realized there was no way to train the skill and i'd just be wasting my damage potential (even without crafting,) i found it hard to keep on using it when i was worried about not having a good enough one-handed skill. sigh.

Improving the game won't make them look bad and it would be a trollish point of view to call improvements admissions of failure. Adding new perks or a whole tree in an expansion seems like the most basic of ideas they could do. An expansion won't get complaining but DLCs would.

I've only seen two finishers for Hand to Hand, the chokeslam, and the good ol' "Grab them and pound them in the face until they stop moving." I'm partial to the second one since it's just so brutal. :mohawk:
