hi to all ,

about crashes etc... there is some known workaround to apply , to prevent crashes ?

i have read about disabling hi-res textures....

any tips ??

Need way more information. Please post a dxdiag in a spoiler tag, disable any and all mods, verify your files, and refresh your INI files.

Go into your Save folder and delete the INI files and let the game regenerate them when you next launch it.

there are 1,833 users with crash related problems!! And it's not my pc , cause my gtx560ti plays "everything" except skyrim.... a patch is needed and soon... !

Interesting statistic; where did you get it?
Are you sure they are all still having issues?
Post your DXDiag, any .ini changes and a list of mods you use if any.
"My computer runs other games fine" is a common phrase on these boards. Plenty of people using your GPU without crashing freezing or hangs. Their are plenty of factors other than the GPU that could be causing your issue.....PSU is my thoughts. Anyway give us some info we can work with or take your QQ elsewhere.

i don't use any mods , i have only installed the hi-res pack from steam.
the fact that my pc runs "everything" fine , except skyrim is a reality :devil:

the game hangs when starting a new game on the intro, after few minutes after bethesda presents .... :swear:

i have done the check file integrity on steam ,and after finished it have downloaded 1 item (50kb) !?!?

Nothing wrong with that, As long as it's a Corsair or Enermax i would be jealous too.

Hanging on intro is usually an ini or mod issue, If you don't use mods i suggest you delete both ini files from your Skyrim my games folder then reset your options in the launcher & in game.
You need to look at your drivers too & a reinstall of the latest ones may help.

Skyrim has CTD'd on me & most people, However hanging at intro or hardlocking your PC is a user issue & not a game issue itself.

enermax , btw i disagree about hardlock is a user issue , cause there are several people with this problem.... (just google skyrim hang or freeze) , in my case it was not a hardlock , it simply froze and stop responding , but not locking the pc.... it do the same thing as on the ps3 with the endless loading screen freeze..... it's a game issue!! we are not talking about 2 or 3 people , we are talking about 1,800 users with crashing problems!!!! That's unbelievable.... but it's the sad reality , this game is plagued by bugs!!

My game started crashing in Windhelm after last patch. I re-installed the game and it got fixed. Try that + what MoggyW said.

There are numerous people posting more than once, lot's of people trying to help, etc.

But anyway, there are people with that problem and usually they will find people willing to help here, but as others have said, we need more info.

I have a 560ti w/ 1gb of ram on it and keep in mind, the hi-res texture pack from Steam is a little intense for a 1gb card. I was running Nvidia Inspector while playing and my vram usage was a constant 99%.

problem solved : stopped playing BUGRim ... Started Amalur (smooth & stable) :tops:

Bugthesda makes outstanding games , the problem is that you can't play them .. !!! (Fallout 3/Vegas Etc..) :sadvaultboy:
