Because in the southeast US, Spring didn't exist. Winter ended last month. Hello summer!

Yeap. Summer here means above 80 temps with a 65 + dew point, which it is most of the time during the 3 month summer we have. Then it goes back to bearable for about 2-5 weeks then freezing cold again.

To be honest, we really didn't have much of a spring here. It was cold then it was ridiculously hot. Fall is my favorite time of the year for many reasons. Namely the weather.

Alaska

Happy midsummers everyone :) Here on the island the weather is a balmy 75o after a morning of showers, with a slight breeze.

I'll be out front, with a beer, for another hour or so :)

Wonder what its like in places like Northern Europe, Canada and Alaska? The sun went down at nine o'clock here in Northern California yesterday. I would guess its up a bit longer in those places. I've always wanted to travel to Anchorage in June to experience that "Midnight Sun" stuff.

It's nearly dusk -well, pretty much dark now, and there have to be at least five or seven bats circling, swooping and strafing in front of my house, picking bugs out of the air I s'pose..

..pretty cool sight to see :)

Yeah, w get that a lot, living near the woods. If you're in the garden at night, they flutter right past your head sometimes. Quite a novel thing if you think about it, the most common wild mammal I see is a small airborne rodent.

Yeah I know, it kind of svcked. It was cold more days than it was warm, not much fun to try and golf in.

I seriously hate it here in the Midwest. In the summer, it gets over 100, and in the winter it can get below 0. We never get a break from the extremes...

OH, it's that time of the year already? Winter is coming... :cold:

Rainy and thundery here today. Few weeks earlier it was unbearably hot, few days were over 30oC, but now it's been pretty cool and rainy.

Well it's the same here, but not only do we get hot days in winter, we get cold days in summer. Mother nature seems to get very confused in the midwest hahaha.
