Happy~

I just want to take a second and rant for a second. I am so happy ever since i started really paying attention to the little details. I forget the name, i think it was dunstrad fort or something, but there was the head of a saber cat turned slightly with an alto wine bottle. I LoLed for ten minutes strait. The quests steeped in lore, like the man who cried wolf, and the daedric quests, and aedra, ect. ect. ect. It's amazing. The lore is deeper then 90% of the games out there and its amazing the little things they put in. And the beautiful scenary :D picturesqueness! Happy. ^^ skyrim has its problems, but it's still an amazing game.

You didn't plagiarize that from a mainstream game reviewer, did you?!?

Totally agreed. They did miss out on some really good things. I still am really saddened about how much was cut to make the 11/11/11 deadline :/

I'm on xbox so i'm taking the word of PC gamers saying they looked through code ^^; perhaps I am being naive, but It's what i understand atm.

Did a cut their writers in order to make the deadline? That's what it seems like they did, and I'm not buying the deadline excuse for the poorly written story line and dialogue.

Aye. I think the writing was pretty awful, But I think it has been since oblivion, so I wasn't to blown away by the terrible dialogue. That being said I think some of the characters got....sort of deep....at times...maybe...................So I can pretty readily ignore the bad writing, being a TES game and all. If I wanted amazing writing I would go play Dark souls or Shadow of the collossus. Their best writing was little to none :) most of their story you had to tell on your own unless you went on boards and looked it up. plus little tid bit hints. Alot of people disagree, but I though FFXII also had great writing. Baldurs gate II had good writing also ^^ list goes on. But I didn't expect skyrim to have good writing going in.

I think they should have just taken a year or so longer to release. We could have waited. They could have spent more time bug testing. Adding more skill tree's (Only thinking cooking here) . Keeping acrobatics and mysticism skills in the game, adding the weapons people want in the game like spears etc. Keeping a journal, I know they aimed at a mainstream market even more but really reading a paragraph of text should not be too taxing! :P. Keeping RPG elements and adding in features that were missing from Oblivion that people wanted back. Improved the engine. But alas we got what we got, still loved it :) I was expecting it to be... different :)

I grew up reading my games....saddely it seems there is no written dialogue anywhere except the books and respones ^^; lol. I don't understand the lack of weaponry really :/ They say that engineering abilities just "dissapear" sometimes, like calipers. But dang, you have to assume that everyone is a complete idiot and can't put a sharp rock on a stick and work up from there. Same with crossbows and throwing weapons. I mean lord....they can manufacture bows *except the pc of course (shrugs)* with prestine aim and distance but can't throw a knife? lolz long.

xD, It just means I get to feel like an old woman and go 'pffft, screw this new games! Back in my day we ha- *falls asleep*

But the point or observation I wanted to say here, from my perspective lots of older game company's seem to have to balance on the knife edge of appealing to old fans and hauling in a new bunch of people. Sadly it seems the new bunch of people seem to like playing games like Call of Duty. I'll leave that up to you to decide if you think that encourages creativity or nerf it, I don't know *shrug* ^_^

Yeah....call of duty....I know it's alot to ask, but I think a game that adds CoD elements without leaving the old elements behind could end up really good. My girlfriend is majoring in computer science so I understand how hard it is to code a massive project like skyrim, so honestly i'm not suprised, but really, Would CoD be so bad if it had all the old elements? Honestly I've never owned a CoD game, so i might be making a fool of myself atm, but I think I've heard enough about it. Skyrim *with some tweaks* gameplay plus Morrowinds writing and quest design? Epic game.....i think ^^; never played morrowind but i hear alot about how amazing its writing and quests were. I was a pretty hardcoe FF fan until oblivion peaked my interest and I left Jrpgs for awhile.

Yes Skyrim is the gaming happiness of my life. I see more Fallout 3 then Call Of Duty in Skyrim especially with the wonderful adrenaline inducing kill cams.

I always enjoy the heads on wall humor. In Fallout 3, I remember one home I went into had a brahmin set of heads on the wall wearing 2 different hats; one of them was a party hat. Just struck me as funny at the time.
