Harcore mode monitor

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 8:03 pm

I'm playing hardcoe mode for the first time and I notice that I have several things to monitor in my "Status" screen. I was wondering if anyone could make a mod that would monitor these numbers on the HUD, so you don't have to keep checking your pip-boy. Nothing too obtrusive, just the important stuff in the corner of the screen in a nice easy to read font. That would be helpful.

P.S. I'm not quite sure I understand the numbers in the hardcoe mode. Is it better to have higher numbers or lower numbers? i.e. 1-500-1000?

Thanks

Lower is better. And when numbers go above 200 you'll have some form of sickness.

About HUD - there is work in progress, Darn makes his UI for New Vegas. He certainly will incorporate all need in HUD (like it was done in his UI for FWE).

Sleep Deprivation, Hunger, Thirst. Higher number means you're more thirsty, more hungry. You want them lower.

The HUD has general indicators that show the severity of the condition, but not numbers.

For more HUD elements we'll probably need to wait for NV Script Extender.

Real men don't constantly check bars and gauges to see their needs. They simply eat, drink, or sleep whenever they need to.
Are you a real man?

Yes but in games we simply cannot "feel" these needs, thats why having it in the HUD is the best way to do it instead of checking the pipboy every half an hour.
