hardcoe mode/normal = amazing gameplay!

I had 196 5.56 bullets and I found a high powered handgun that uses them. (sorry not telling which gun because I dont want to spoil it for you) Well to make a long story short I eneded up in a area with a lot of ghouls and supermuants. About 3/4 of the way through the quest I ran out of 5.56 ammo and I had to resort to the 10mm pistol that I got from buying the game at gamestop. Which made me really worried because I only had 86 10mm bullets for that gun and I didnt know how many more mobs I had to kill. Now im worried because I cant find many 5.56 ammo and that handgun is my most powerful weapon that I have to far. I pray I dont run into any giant radscorpins or im doomed lol!

I always found ammo to be very abundant. Crippling early game was an issue as I never had many doctor's bags, so I would often have to limp back to the ol' Doc Mitchell.

I think I know the gun you are talking about, but I won't name That Gun for the sake of spoilers to those who might not know. It was my favorite in the early game too.

You can get it pretty early but it's expensive and now I don't know who has it. :(

I didn't even know I got That Gun until later. I was just robbing all those toy Rockets and dinosaurs when I got it. Never used it though because ... well, I don't know, I just didn't like it.

That gun isnt even that powerful, to be totally honest.

I find myself just selling it in every playthrough.

To be honest, it will probably make him feel better just knowing someone actually cared about his souvenirs...

I'm used to FWE,so this "hardcoe" is just lightcore, even in hard or very hard.

Early play was great... you were weak, you had to run away from areas, you ran out of ammo, you had to really search for some pure water after leaving Goodsprings. But by level 12 these things were no longer a problem. The big problem for me is I feel I level way to fast. You get major amounts of XP for doing teeny little things and like F3 you reach level 30 before exploring half of the game. At higher levels the game becomes nothing more than a shooter. I really wish they'd add in a half xp mode for players who want to level more slowly. A half xp mode would take away the need to raise the level cap and at the same time allow people who like to level up fast to do so.

Doctor's Bags svck as they barley heal cripples and Hydra is very rare which forces me to rely on doctors. Other than that hardcoe is a lot of fun.

What is your medicine skill at? Hydra is an addictive substance that doesn't really heal the limb, it just takes it barely out of crippled status. Doctors Bags (for me) heal the limb about halfway. Which is good enough to survive to get back to a doctor for a real patch-me-up.

Doctors Bags svck because they're difficult to ge all the ingredients to make and their expensive and each weighs 1 lb. If you're playing on hardcoe and planning to battle through some of the more piched battles it can be really annoying having to go through numerous bags in one quest and still not having enough sometimes. Thats just me though.

Yeah, well, sometimes it's cool to play with a crippled leg or a broken arm :) I found hardcoe Mode to be a very pleasant addition, although in fact I may have expected it to complicate gameplay far more. But the extra challenge is very welcome in my opinion, and the H20/FOD/SLP -penalties really make it feel a whole lot more like you're actually in a wasteland, although food and water aren't really as scarce as they could be.

I counteracted the crippling issue in my hardcoe play through by takeing that special ability that reduces the chances you will get crippled by 50%. I forget the name of the ability though. But since I have taken it I have not goten crippled yet. Very cool.

Adamantium Skeleton. And it's great but its like level 14 or 16.

@ AustinCurtis

Yeah having to fight out a battle with a crippled limb makes things interesting. Sometimes it gets annoying though.
