Has anyone else noticed..?

Okay, so you're hiding in a little corner and manage to hit an enemy with an arrow, so he comes barreling your way. You go to fire a second arrow and with the slow mo perk, you line up your shot. The shot seems good, so you release it for another hit.

Then bam, the enemy magically sidesteps a millisecond before it hits. I'm not sure if this was an intentional add to make sure archers aren't overpowered, but it has happened NUMEROUS times.

Anyone else know what I'm talking about?

Lololol, looks ridiculous honestly. They should only be able to do it when you are detected..

It is ridiculous. The don't merely dodge an arrow coming out of the darkness right at them, but they actually dart to the side, faster than any other move. Also annoying are caster NPCs who can run and gun without missing you.

Well I can sidestep the NPCs' arrows so I don't see why they can't do the same  It shouldn't happen in sneak mode but I've never had any problems with it myself.

They even do it when they havent seen you yet, and than by pure chance they see you (back still turned to you) and come charging towards you, and thats in sneak mode.

Happens to me all the time. Causes much frustration, especially in the "One arrow from the dark and the entire bandit camp charges at you"-scenario.

Your arrow rolled and didn't hit. RPG Mechanics....

I do think the dart to the side is kinda lame. At least add a ducking animation or something but no they slide to the left or right whether they knew you were there or not. I've had some bow duels with bandits or whatever else and those are cool because he keeps moving, but not darting out of the way.

I REALLY hate when NPCs use magic too because they are better than anybody at it.

Yeah, it's really funny. I got detected the first time I saw it happening because I was laughing too hard with my hands on the mouse and keyboard irl. One moment, they're standing there unaware, minding their own business, and the other they just teleport sideways.

I've had one time where I shot an arrow at a bandit from his side, and this dude just suddenly bowed down (with straight legs) and evaded my arrow that way! I still have difficulty believing he evaded it like that. He immediately stood upright again and went to look for me after that, so it's not like he was investigating the floor or anything.

I have seen it too. It is either an intentional behavior by some NPCs to anticipate your arrow and to step aside, or it could be a timing issue where the game engine "feels" the need to adjust an NPC's position and does so rather harshly. It is occurs rarely and it is a bit funny, too.
