Has anyone had MORE problems since the Patch?

Post » Sat Feb 26, 2011 9:17 am

It's kind of frustrating. I never had a problem with NV until I got the new patch. Now I've got a variety of things going on-rarely (well it was rarely when I posted this...now it's growing more and more common..)-but still enough to annoy me. Disgusting things like my PC's fingers getting large and crawling up my back (which makes my skin crawl just thinking about it...it's disgusting..) or companions constantly getting lost.....I hate it... :( ....It feels like my game's been violated...I wish we had the option to just ignore the patches..

the only viable option right now is to delete the title 4 update and continue playing without the fixes it addresses.

I would rather play the game than keep the current patch on my HD.

Hopefully the loading issue is fixed in the next title update.

Lately, yes. Though, things I've noticed lately that I havent before, like the minigun sound continuing after you stop firing, arms on the top of the screen, Lucky causing graphical glitches, etc.

I take it your game did not freeze on you after removing the patch?

The reason I ask is, I had to remove the patch, then the last save off my game (seventeen hours worth) and re-download the patch just for the game to run properly. And I even tried not download the patch and the game froze on me when loading content at the load screen.

Now the game seems to run fine, but I'm not going to hold my breath.

It was strange for me because the game ran fine after the first time I installed the patch, then the next time I played It the loading screen would just hang forever after I loaded my game.

Is there any quest undone near or around Quarry Junction??
You killed every Deathclaw and the Alpha??
:wavey:
Just a thought : Try to fast travel to the Lucky 38 or Victors Shack (Goodsprings)
Or try to walk there, then save again, back to Title Screen an reload the Save.

--If that not help, then start a New Game and play till you leave Doc Mitchell′s House.
Then go back to the Title Screen and reload your old save.
This maybe sounds strange, but you already know that New Vegas is some kind of Suprise Bag.

The Minigun Bug is annoying, but as soon as you unequip and reaquip your Gun, the Sound will dissapear.

My game just keeps crashing in general, I started a new playthrough in honnor of honest hearts being released, I have not baught it yet but as I was trying to play over the night finishing out the last part of the main game dealing with the BoS in their bunker, it just started freezing and freezing no matter what I did. I played through it as best I could even though I had to restart my console 8 times before doing it, it's 4am where I'm from and just 20 minutes ago I finished the last part of for the republic part 2. Then I went to black mountain and did everything there, now it just keeps freezing no matter what I do. I love fallout i really do, it just needs a major patch though.

Downloaded Honest Hearts yesterday and played all night with only one freeze, and a few sound and graphic bugs. Tried to load the game today, and it just stays on the loading screen with the roulette wheel spinning indefinitely. I tried deleting the Title Update, but without it, it prompts that the game requires DLC content, and when I try to load without it, it just freezes. I also tried re-installing the Title Update, but it just goes into it's infinite loading again.

Seriously?? I have been a loyal Fallout fan since the beginning, but this is too much. This game has WAY too many bugs, glitches, issues! Why the hell would you create NEW DLC's without fixing the original game FIRST????

Don't know if I can take any more......thinking about selling the game back to Gamestop and starting on Fable III.

Just an update to help others with the same problem as me.

If you try to load a saved game and it just shows the loading screen forever, start a NEW game and save it. Then load your other saved game. Worked for me :)

It's not a permanent fix, but at least I can continue playing until they release a new patch.

He′s right.
Try This........
Start a new game.
Play till you outside Doc Mitchell′s House.
Then back to Title Screen.
Then Load your old save.

This helps a few others.

About the endless Loading-Screen,
DON′T forget that New Vegas only can hold up to 4 DLC′s at the moment
And every Pre order Pack count as an DLC.
If you have more than 4, than you waiting for the Mojave forever.

Bethesda only takes part of the blame, mainly for pushing for it to be released when it did. Obsidion, picks up the slcak with the blame though.

On the first week of release I encountered a game breaking bug after 120 hours of play. After all this time its still not working and nobody else seems to get the bug.Basically it turns everyone in the world hostile and does strange things to the rep system.New game doesnt fix it, nor do any of the other attempts to fix it on my end.I would like the chance to finish the game once at least.

Would this patch fix my problem or make it worse I wonder.Has anyone heard of a similar bug to mine?

I know what you mean, downloaded the dlc the day it came out, and was fine that night, but, the next day when I tried to play my save file, it crash over 10 times. so every few minutes now, I save my game, just in case it crashes.

I need to see an official apology for this game from Obsidian, and especially Bethesda Softworks.

Bethesda is a quality company that puts its name on only the highest quality product, this is why I purchased NV without much research on the game.

Unfortunately I overlooked it's vast defects due to Obsidian's lack of game design experience, in fact they did not even design this game they simply copy and pasted the gamebro engine and pasted a slightly less intuitive story-line than Fallout 3.

For me to continue being a devoted fan of Bethesda I need to see them swallow their pride and make an apology for this game, which is borderline defective as a product.

It applies for any company, when you put your name on a product you make sure it is functioning properly and will not come back to bite you in the butt.

I'm disappointed that more people are still having problems after the latest patch came out. I mean I thought the patches were to help the game, not put more oil on a raging fire. I guess the Devs and publishers want to make money off of the DLC's. I think Softworks gets the most blame, I like those guys but they did the testing and they should've realized that this game was a mess at launch. If this was BGS developing the game instead of Obsidian I'd bet they would've delayed it but nope they didn't as money talks. I still support Softworks but I'm going to be very skeptical of them in the future if they aren't working with BGS. Not to mention their track record outside of working with BGS isn't good. Brink is a disastor, Rogue Warrior was the worst game ever made, Wet was terrible, Hunted sounds like it will have problems.

Their needs to be another patch before Old World Blues comes out that deals with any other existing problems including game save issues. That should be the 1st thing they do.
