I HATE PERKS!

Post » Tue May 29, 2012 5:22 am

this is 7th time i've reverted back to my previous save, i leveled my char then just didnt level up so in case i mess up i can go back to that one. I thought the investor perk would be the only way to sell high price items, well *SPOILER* i just did the thieves guild missions and all the fences have over 4k gold, making yet another perk tree useless to me and now have to revert back to the drawing board!....WE NEED TO BE ABLE TO RE-PERK!!!!

Why are they useless?

Why are you so worried about making the perfect character? Trust me; stop caring and enjoy the game. I can't imagine what issues you'd be having if this was a pen and paper RPG.

Unless you randomly decided to switch to two handed, which is just bad judgement on your part, none of the aformentioned perks are useless.

at the end, you are pretty much gonna max every perk in most of the skills anyway, just keep in mind that get the ones you NEED not the ones you want.

the amount of perks the player can get is fine currently. BUT:

there is something that is correct about what the OP says : a RE PERK abillity or npc (could even cost 10000 gold per reperk) should definitly be introduced.

why you ask? because bethesda CLAIMED that you can be what you want to be and WHEN you want it (aka freedom). this is not the case anymore with skyrim because of the perks that are stuck on you. you can test some perks and see if they are useful or not but this is not the case for all perks.

many many perks become useless the more you adavance and learn the gaming mechanics.

my suggestion would be to introduce an npc which can reset your perks for a goldcost. the cost should be high so that this feature cannot be abused to much. a dlc could bring such an npc. or even a patch.

there is no reason to dont do this. because pc users already have that reperk option via the console. why dont give such an option ingame for all plattforms? this is a offline game. there would be NOTHING bad about it really. and it would turely make your be what you currently want. you dont have to decide at the beginning how to build your character.

Move up to the 'merchant' perk. Your fences now have 5K gold.

Be sure, guys... There will BE a mod only for re-perking. This is only a matter of time. Sure.

You can use console, if you're on the PC, to remove a perk and ADD a perk point to spend. It's grateful and useful.
