I hate them!

Is it just me, or does anyone else share my frustration with Cazadores? Those things are incredibly annoying to fight. Everything else you can actually hit when you're aiming outside of VATS but these friggen bugs just fly all over the place while they're stinging you to death.

yeah, absolutely. Too strong, too fast, too stingy. There is "hard to make things challenging and fun" and "hard for no apparent reason than to frustrate the hell out of you and make you throw down the controller and stomp off in disgust".

Cazadores are in the latter camp.

I know, I don't like them either. The first time I saw one I said to myself ''Aha! I've heard about you you fluffy little bastard! Its the Flamer for you! :flamethrower:

This did not end well for me . . . :sadvaultboy:

Too unerringly accurate at crippling your head and taking over half your life in one hit too. Easiest way I found is to clip their wings in V.A.T.S. But yeah, outside of V.A.T.S. they just won't stay still.

I'm used to it. I played a heck of a lot of "Lands of Lore" and "Redneck Rampage".

I hate them too. That's why I'm so glad they're in the game. Very challenging to fight. Beating them isn't impossible. You just have to fight smart.

Yes, but...

... I hate the ghouls in Vault 34 even more.

Growl, charge, punch, nuclear blast! Nuclear blast! Nuclear blast! Repeat. It's worse than buzz, dodge everything and sting, sting, sting, sting!!

Cazadores? Yeah, I do hate them (a lot - a real lot), but I hate other things more.

At least Cazzies got them purty wings. Ghouls are ugly all around.

I sick Veronica on them with her power fist of doom. She likes squashing bugs while I stand back and watch. ED-E tries to help, but he's not even close to as affective as my Ronie.

Shoot the wings with hollow point rounds. They go down rather fast.

Also, having a powerful close range companion (Veronica) is helpful.

Yeah, I know how you feel about vault 34. I was playing on hardcoe mode when I went in there... At level 9. I thought "Ghouls? Psht... No prob." The problem was I had Veronica with me outside and she got mobbed by Golden Geckos and I spent almost my entire inventory of stimpacks on her. After that I sent her packing. Then I went inside and about halfway through I ran out of stimpacks, radaway, and ammo. So I was just eating whatever I could find and taking Med-X left and right as I ran straight for the door.

I came back with some more supplies and promptly cleaned the place out. I'd have to say that those ghouls are definitely on par with the Cazadores.

the Deathclaws are even stronger, it's like taking on 20 Godzillas with a peashooter, BUT you kind-of expect that, they ARE giant Godzilla things. But you can work a strategy, get a certain gun, get to a certain spot. With cazadors you can't... it's automatic-weapon and run backwards, hoping you don't run into a wall because it's game over. Stupid.

i dont think that cazadores are indvidually that strong. whats annoying about them is how huge the groups they travel in are.

but having a companion makes them much less threatning.

I break out the riot shotgun with magnum buckshot for them. Usually wind up burning a ton of ammo since I get horded.

Cazadores does in one hit = almost half your life(depending on armor), cripple, and poison.

Something doesn't add up here......

Any shotgun will cripple them at long range because their spread guarentees you'll hit a wing ;) If it wasn't for cazadores the game would be too easy imo

Just as lethal it sounds like, but Cazadores are bit easier to avoid completely than Deathclaws. I usually can catch sight of one’s wings fluttering over a mound, and if I’m not ready for that particular battle, I can move on or back track before I’m attacked. Deathclaws jump out of nowhere it seems, or if I do see one, one or two are on me in the time it takes to switch weapons.

Agree, deathclaws seem to make no sounds until they make their first swing. Many time i seen "Boone has dead" sign from a Deathclaw that I was completely unaware of.

Deathclaws ignore DT, apparently, so they at least have that going for them.
