I have 2 builds..Which one do you prefer the most?

---I have an argonian rouge.

Specializing in sneak and illusion. I really enjoyed finding a good store and then eventually waiting till the night comes to loot the entire place dry of any goods. Not to mention I became a vampire so things are twice as difficult but easier due to increased illusion and sneak. But I eventually got bored of the- Loot, fast travel to general store, sell, then repeat cycle.

There is still some spark to the character because I stuck to what I wanted unlike my first character.

---Then I have a Dark Elf Necromancer

Specializing in Conjuration, Destruction, and sneak. The problem with this character is that, well, I'm going to be honest. Skyrim is my first TES game, so I did not roleplay at all and did a lot of quests I probably 'shouldn't' have.

Bottom Line--- Which one do you prefer the most? Argonian Thief or Dark Elf Necromancer

BY THE WAY: Which character is best for Werewolf or a Vampire? Because I'm getting confused on what I should do.Thanks!

Might just be me, but Argonian werewolves and vampires just sound a little odd. I appreciate they are Nirn afflictions, not the ones from Earth folklore, but still seems strange. Dunmer vampires, however, well we have the Morrowind clans as precedent.

Of the two, the Argonian one sounds best.

A necromancer, at least for me, is incredibly difficult to stick around with as I tend to start doing non necromancy like things, or just capturing weak people in the rare few black soul gems I have. I also have a personal feel that Dunmer shouldn't be necromancers and should be more alligned to Daedra worship then most other races, although this doesn't necessarily have to apply for each Dunmer, it just feels unnatural to me when it's not the case. So that's why I'd say the Argonian.

For the argonian, i might just start practicing archery.

I'd go with the necromancer, mainly because it's the build i'm playing with. Doing it as an imperial though.

My next character is going to be a sneak specialist, undecided on race though...definately human, possibly nord.

Your builds make sense to me I would go with the Dunmer for Vampire. I dont see a Lizard being a werewolf though.

I would suggest you roleplay though as in the end this is what makes the game more fun and extends the replay value out the roof. For example my Nord paladin/cleric can't complete some of the content in the game because the motivations and acts required are criminal or just down right evil. My Breton mage/vampire can however as she is motivated by evil deeds and takes the world completley different. You wont see here rescuing anyone from a dragon (she may wait until the dragon kills them and loots their crsipy corpse however).

I find that Skyrim is so wide open that developing a strong character with morals( or lack of), motivations, and personality really turns this game from excellent into amazing. This after all is what role playing is all about.

Agree with this. Very rewarding creating a back story for a character and then seeing where the world takes them and how they develop.

My Imperial mage escaped Helgen with nothing else on his mind but revenge upon those who betrayed him. In the weeks and months that followed though, and as his power increased he has put such trivial matters behind him becoming instead a power hungry necromancer In the service of Molag Bal. Where his story will end up...who knows?

neither would make a good werewolf... werewolf is part of the questline it is a part of for a reason (and neither really fits there)

Vampyrism can benefit either of your classes, but you'll have to also deal with the negatives.

The Dunmer's natural fire resistance helps against the vampires fire weakness... so there's that.

Additionally the necromancer could get a lot of mileage out of the undead perk in resto.

I believe there are some illusion benefits as well though... and calm can help with feeding.

Play whichever you have more fun at... what quests you've done don't matter as much as where you place your perks really. So long as you kept your perk placement appropriate and not all spread out all over the place then your Dunmer should still be fine.
