I have a confession to make

Although this nord is a die-heart talos worshiper.. he finds Elenwen horribly attractive. When he entered the Thalmor embassy for a party he couldn't get his eyes off of this terrible woman. He often wonders if the only solution to end the war is to take her to windhelm... make love to her there... then take her to solitude to make love to her there. The process continue from city to city and so on.... Of course when we enter Riften we invite Maven to have 3 some together in Haelga seductive bed... oh but wait I don't think she'll put up with it if shes not involved so it becomes a 4 some.

Oh how beautiful dreams can be in skyrim.

Elenwen Let me show you some of what my talos aka dovahkiin can offer you  You'll love it and wont be disappointed

That reminds me. I need to start looking for and wiping out the Thalmor. I should check out the embassy, again.

*snort* That's the ugliest high elf I've EVER seen. AND you want to watch out for a dagger in the dark while you're trying to make love to her....

Hah. I disagree. Somehow I understand the OP. She's oddly alluring.

Could be because of the voice actress. She played Meredith in DA2, but she was much more fierce there. Here, her evil is under the surface and she acts charming.

She sounds like she'd be great in bed, then you realize she is an expert torturer for the Thalmor. :ermm:

Judging by your avatar you're a woman. You don't understand the aspects of what dominating women with a beautiful voice can do to men like us. I wish we can ask Ulfric what she did to him back when he was in the thalmor custody. I would LOVE to hear the description.

VA??? Voice audio I assume? Why do you have it shut off if you don't mind me asking?

Not sure about that. I mean, I think the Altmer in general are one of the better designed races too. Altmer, Redguards, Khajiit - all easy to make look cool. As far as I'm concerned.

Have at it. If you can turn around her elitist, intolerant, racial supremacism with some lovin' you could have a greater positive impact on the province than putting an end to Alduin. And for less cost. :P

She probably doesn't like the voice acting, I know i don't, but running around like a deaf idiot isn't fun.

I really dislike voice acting in games. It's - annoying, it pulls me out of MY immersion. People in a game like this one always have a "voice personality" in my own mind, and some stupid actor's idea of that personality is NEVER my idea of same. I prefer MY imagination to anything the devs and a bunch of idiot actors produce. Oh, yeah - in case you can't tell, I have zero use for tv and 99% of movies.

As far as running around like a deaf idiot? I don't have the problem - I hear everyone's voice in my own mind without any outside intervention. Just like I do when reading Tolkien, Lackey or whoever. I have the music in the background, which is just fine.

I don't think it's a guy thing. I didn't find her attractive, and I am a guy, maybe it's more of a fetish thing.

It's hard for me to really think any of the "stock" NPCs in this game are attractive. None of the males appeal to me - they're.... not ugly, but certainly not attractive. And the female NPCs are even worse....

Apologies, I didn't mean for it to come out as me calling you a deaf idiot. I meant that I feel like a deaf idiot when I mute the audio. I guess i'm just so used to hearing the voices, even though they're so bad, in games I play. I gotta say I admire your ability, If only I had such a powerful imagination as yours, stupid growing up killing my imagination :sadvaultboy:

I just find the voices attractive, Mjolls voice actor to be exact. I enjoy listening to her accent, though Mjoll never shuts up so it evens out.

I generally like the voice actors here. Even when they're reused a lot (like Ralof/Baalgruuf/many others). I love a lot of voice actors in games. There are some cringeworthy titles (Two Worlds, for example), so it could be a lot worse than anything here.

This kind of depresses me that someone would shut out an entire element of the game, but to each their own.

Ah.... sorry, I took that as pointed at me. Shouldn't have I guess! But as far as imagination, EVERYONE has one. It's a matter of feeding it instead of being force-fed perhaps....

Also - I've been reading voraciously for over 60 years. It's not hard to hear voices in your mind when you've spent that many years living in books....

[@Korr - I've been playing CRPGs since 1985. Most early games didn't have voices. I didn't miss them, and I'm perfectly capable of existing without them. I don't know who decided a game had to have VA, but it's not an "element of the game" to me - it's intrusive. I've been playing CRPGs longer than many of the people who post here have been alive. Just because you or someone else thinks every "element' of a game is important is NO reason I should feel that way. Each to her own.]

The main voice actor I hate is the guy who voiced Rosh in the Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy. That guy should quit his job. Anytime I hear him I feel the urge to rip his throat out... if only I knew where he lived...

Totally agree. Well almost, some of the voices are cool. I always liked Wes Johnson. Voicing a game like Skyrim uses a lot of money, time and storage, so without it we'd be back to all of the dialogue options we had in Morrowind - and being able to keep everything anyone said to you in a journal. As a non-American, I am also sensitive to hearing American accents infiltrate Nirn, which is detrimental to immersion.

I can relate to characters not sounding the way you feel they should - same thing happens when you get engrossed in a good book, and then a film comes out of it with some actor who will forevermore get in your head as that character, even though it's not how you imagined the character. I hate that.

I like reading too, but I'm a movie buff at heart. I even have some acting experience... never really took advantage of it though. I guess that plays into my preference.

I QUITE agree with you! Oh, I imagine the accent thing is horrible for you! Talk about jerking you out of immersion.... I have to say just about the ONLY movie-from-book version that didn't do that to me is LotR. I've watched them over and over and over - and none of the men feel or sound wrong in the movie version. Pretty darn impressive.... Unfortunately, I think they totally missed it with Arwen and Galadriel, which is sad.

Probably. My "acting" was limited to doing NPCs when I GM'd tabletop games for my daughter and her friends.... It was fun for that particular "use".
