so whenever i play online its always with mainly with bots. and only 2 maybe 3 online gamers. have i got a option to play with no bots or are they always going to dominate the team?

If someone joins they will take the place of a bot, or if they leave a bot will replace them. As far as I know, you cannot turn the bots off.

What are you trying to do exactly?

There are a couple diff. ways to play. If you're just looking for an MP experience go to FREE PLAY, select PUBLIC GAME, and adjust whatever match setting you want to adjust. I personally like COMPETITIVE, there seems to bay less lag and more fun for me, but you should be familiar with the maps first.

If you want to play through the CAMPAIGN ONLINE, select CAMPAIGN, then select a mission from either Security or Resistance, (sometimes it will force you to the opposite side depending on games available). You will see another menu for VISIBILITY select EVERYONE, PLAYMODE select either CO-OP (to play online versus only bots) or VERSUS (to play online versus human enemies and possibly some bots). Finally, just hit START MISSION.
