I have a mouse in the wall of my house

Post » Wed Sep 21, 2011 6:08 am

Last night I heard very loud scratching at the bottom of the bathroom wall (behind the toilet - naturally). Its still doing it this morning and I'm afraid a mouse is either set up shop there or is stuck. I'm kind of freaking out every time I hear the scratching and tapping start - for some reason its really loud and carries all over the bedroom area of the house. I'm one of those people who can't tolerate pests in the house (will chase a fly for an hour trying to kill it) so you can imagine how this is bugging me. I call several pest control places and finally got one to come out tommorow. Another day and night of scratching. :banghead: I don't care what it costs - I want the buggers trapped/killed and all the holes plugged they might be getting in through.

We've had the occasional mouse. We have also always had a cat, pest control bundled with a pet ftw. I also remember my dad catching them with traps set with peanut butter. Hope you catch yours, I hate that scratching noise too.

There's a mouse in my house currently as well, not sure how it got in. Anyway, it's not in my room so I'm just ignoring it right now and keeping my door closed at all times. Though there are traps set, what are some foods mice can't resist?

I have no clue what CVS is, but maybe. Warfarin is the lethal ingredient for tasty rat poisons, so any large retailer should have some.

I live in an old lake house that was built in 1948. No matter what I do I get mice, bats, groundhogs (only in the basemant) in my home. Thing with rodents is, they'll get in no matter what you do. Best bet, buy a cat but don't keep the food for the cat out.
