let me just say before i ask: i joined to ask this question, and yes, it probably sounds dumb, but i don't want to miss out and waste my money.



The new trailer about the new add-on is about vampires. from the trailer, the vampire boss says "you saved my daughter..what is it you seek?" I'm a werewolf, and thanks to some stupid bug im stuck a werewolf, so i can't be a vampire. Will that limit me? Will i only be able to only be against them? i really don't wanna miss out on crossbows and that awesome armor he had.

Yea dude, i finished the last companions mission where you relieve kodlak of his wolf spirit and i was asked if i wanted to remove mine as well when i looked at the flame and i said no...i tried going back there after finishing more quests and it didnt let me...so ...i rather be a vampire lord then a werewolf...New here to the forums...

Well I'd imagine that accepting the path to becoming a vampire lord will automatically cure you of lycanthropy if your character has it, so unless you are also stuck in beast form as well, you probably won't have anything to worry about. Besides, we don't know yet what the full extant of lycanthropy's involvement will be, anyway.

Solving your werewolf problems know is easy First start off with completing the Companion mainquest (atleast to the part where you free kodlak). At this point you need an xtra witchhead that you'll use to cure kodlak (1head) and yourself (1+1=2 heads) and that should be it. Unless it's bugged out on you...
For me, my werewolf situation is a bit different though... I have cured myself of the lycanthropy, but for some reason Skyrim is still counting days as werewolf. And I'm not

Yeah I would imagine Beth is going to add some way to cure your lycanthropy other than the witch heads. So that people who think "Man being a vampire svcks in the vanilla, I'll be a werewolf!... Oh wait vampire-based DLC? Crap I don't want to be a stupid dog anymore" have some way out.

We'll if they don't ,a lot of people are going to be pissed.to begin with, werewolfs were Cool but now there terrible, just terrible.it did seem a better choice than vaparism until I saw the dawnguard trailer, vampire lords and bats.oh well

Vampires get no crossbows. To cure Lycanthropy you need to go to Ysgramor's tomb and burn a Glemoral Witch's head then your wolf spirit will appear. Kill it and you are free of the curse. I for one just created a new character so if I am chosen I am ready for the onslaught.

Vampires will most likely be able to get crossbows as well. Whenever new weapons are added they are openly found in the world you don't need to align with a certain faction to obtain crossbows.

i think some people here may have misunderstood what the OP means. The OP is saying that he can NOT cure himself of lycanthropy because the quest for curing himself glitched out somehow. There is such a glitch associated with Vilkas that can screw stuff like this up.
