I have to restart 72 hours of gameplay *sigh*

Post » Mon Jun 04, 2012 8:58 am

Had to reinstall because HD mods i had started crashing the game

After I uninstalled the mods it was still not working

Well now Im reinstalling, I also deleted the extra files left over cause those contained the mods

Im gonna have to restart 72 hours of gameplay, unless steam keeps your saves, which i doubt *sigh*

I will never install another HD mod again...

Just hang fire on big change mods till after the CK is out and the steamworks mod directory is up. That way your more likely to find better quality mods, with better support networks thanks to steams integrated messaging and friends system.

The lesson isn't not to mod, the lesson is to make local backup of your save games.

"Libraries \ My Documents \ My Games \ Skyrim \ Saves" If you're using Windows 7. If you are using Win7, then right click, go to Properties, and see if your machine made Previous Version backups...

Good luck.

Edit: In fact, you should use this as a life lesson. Google "backup strategies" and take it to heart!

Wow, some real mean souled people on here. The guy knows he made a mistake - he just needed to vent ..... glad to see such gracious people...... grow up. OP I feel your pain; a hard lesson learned.

Wait, how did you lose your saves? Did you delete them on purpose?

Edit: It's not his fault they crashed his game...
