I have seen the gates of Oblivion, beyond which no waking ey

I am from a small community (Springerville) in the White Mountains of the great state of Arizona. A week ago neglect of basic camping safety caused a wildfire that has spread through these beautiful mountains like........Wildfire. So far the fire has burned about 389,000 acres and Around 4 towns have been put under mandatory Evac with one more (Mine) on pre-Evac. Outside it looks like I have stepped to close to an oblivion gate and ash is falling from the sky like fallout. With 0% containment and the winds being like they are Close to 2,000 fire fighters from all around the United States are fighting this monster with all that they have. This is the 2nd largest fire in state history and i fear it soon shall be the 1st. This probably wont affect most of you but i just wanted to share this with the good folks on these Forums. Thank You for reading. http://www.inciweb.org/incident/2262/

Its a shame that it is 0% contained! Hopefully you're getting some out of state help if youre fire departments are being stretched thin.

I live in San Diego myself and am no stranger to widfires. The Cedar and Paradise fires in 2003 were nuts.. Everything looked red-orange as if it were a part of http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DH6P-o3v--0 and there was ash falling everywhere. quite surreal.

keep safe

Well, you can always relocate down here to Yuma. No fires. Well, unless the homeless accidentally set fire to the bushes along the Colorado River.

Good luck up there.

I wouldn't evac ._.

To me elementary school will be the death of me in a fire. You do like 4000 fire drills and there is never a fire. So i'm gotten to the point when my apartments firealarms go off and everyone goes outside, I sit in my apartment ._.

Hope you and your family avoid that getting to you. svcks when someone elses stupidity ruins someone elses life.
