I used to do that all the time in Oblivion when I was just messing around, but I don't think I've ever done it in Skyrim.

I have an immediate knee-jerk violent reaction to people in certain factions in this game, so yes, I have put arrows through skulls without really thinking. It was kind of funny to turn around and see an Imperial soldier looking at me like I was nuts for dragging a now pincushion of a Thalmor into the river. He just stared for a minute before walking on.

And I bet the good folks who live downstream are very thankful that you've polluted their water supply.

I like to think of it as "feeding the slaughterfish".

Not yet, but I have a vampire necromancer who will kill just because somebody looks at me wrong but I have yet to do so.

All of my killings have been thoroughly planned events, including the execution of Lydia.

I love how when you dump someone in the river they float away down stream. I like to dump them in a lake and watch them slowly float off into the distance. It's a nice effect to have actual current in the water. I dumped one guy above a high waterfall and he was swept over except half way down there was a huge rock sticking out and he splatted on that before tumbling over the edge to the river below. It was pretty funny to be honest. It's just a game afterall. My good characters do the same thing with bad guys they've killed. Kind of sends a message to the others from a role playing perspective.

If my response was "some men just want to watch the world burn" you'd understand my stand, yeah?

This was back when I first started. I had just exited Fellglow Keep, and a group of Thalmor attack me. Didnt go well, and I lost the fight. So, I reload and decide to sneak this time. I see a couple of people walking around (it was night time, by the way) and fire an arrow at one of them. Well, they were Vigilants of Stendaar, not Thalmor.

Since I have a hard time distinguishing between friend and foe in the game, I assume everyone is foe and kill indiscriminately in the wilderness.

Let Talos sort it out.

Yeah. I try NOT to kill hunters and whatnot but if I'm playing a sneaky type I prefer to kill the random bandit events before they engage me. This has led to one or two... unfortunate cases of mistaken identity.

I killed that dude who's out in the wilderness looking for ingredients for the Gourmet cos he looked like a thief/assassin at extreme range. And just yesterday I found a group of Foresworn fighting a group of what I thought were Bandits, so I lobbed a few Fireballs into the scrum figuring it wouldn't matter who I hit. The 'Bandits' were hunters. I feel bad :(

Not that I can recall in Skyrim.
In MW though there used to be people lurking around some of the Daedric ruins. Some were hostile cultists, some were friendly crusaders or witch hunters. I usually didn't bother to find out, let Arkay sort them out.

Hope you don't live in my neighborhood.
:touched:

So far have I not killed anyone for no good reason.

However, my stats speak against me and say that I have committed 6 murders.

I cannot say who they were. I did kill a lot of bandits with sneak attack and before they could see me, same with vampires and mages and necromancers and falmers. I always try to spare people unless they attack me or of whom I know that they will attack me or are hostile to me.

Yes. Along the road to Winterhold I saw a farmer who said that he was on his way to Windhelm to join the stormclowns. This guy was an ass for his intentions and an idiot for thinking they would accept him. He was Dunmer. So I fried him and now I have a 55 bounty in Winterhold, because they are collaborators.

(( Same here. One thing I love to do, doesn't really involve killing, I cast Frenzy on chickens, they can't actually attack, so they just follow you around and stare at you with the hatred of a thousand boiled eggs! It's really funny when you go from town to town collecting up their chickens and leading them into battle! ))

I'm a member of the Imperial Legion. I abide by the Law and enforce it, not abuse it. Apart from against Stormcloaks, I only fight under self-defense, never striking first, and I do not provoke attacks to justify a slaughter.

My Nord warrior never attacks without reason (i.e. if you're Thalmor or clearly a bandit). Sometimes he'll even wait until people draw their weapons before killing them.

My archer/thief/assassin kills indiscriminately in the name of all the Deadra. She has all the artifacts and actually keeps her promise to the Deadra, so all killings are authorized by a higher power.

I think he mean killing without thought, as in without instinct, plan or anything.

Like when you're standing at the bus stop, then suddenly murder the complete stranger next to you without even knowing why or having any sort of reason to. Not accidentally, intentionally, but also not intentionally. As if your brain had plugged out and your body just moved in to kill on its own.

Can't say I've ever done that in Skyrim though.

I always have a reason to kill them (justice, quest, idealogy, RP etc)

only people that I was sure they weren't involved in any quest, like the random "farmers" and "hunters" you meet in the wild
