Have you lost items you gave to your follower?

I had already determined that Onmund is worthless as a follower. The dive roll I saw him do while following me was the very last straw. But now I have a Dwarven Greatsword and the Staff of Jvarsk-something from an early College quest MISSING. I don't have them, and he doesn't have them........

Is this a bug? Or should I take him with me again just to let him die?

If it was a consumible like a soul gem or a potion, they will use them as needed. Super bummer when my dad figured that one out. He gave Lydia a bunch of potions to hold on to so she could be like his medicine women, but she svcks and gets the crap beat out of her all the time. He was in a battle, went to get them back, she had already used them all. Bummber.

If it was not a consumilbe, but something that is worn, I have had this happen. Gave my companion a super sweet helmet to use, we get into the first battle with Alduin, it's over, she walks up, no helmet. I think it was knocked off of her by a shout or something, but I don't know of any shouts that do anything but disarm.

If he doesn't have it on him at the moment, I don't think taking him out to die will allow it to appear. It's worth a shot though. At the very least it will be satisfying and due punimshemt for losing your stuff.

I've only known followers to lose their weapons due to Disarm being used on them. About it as far as non-consumable items go.

sounds like a glitch, I have used multiple followers as pack mules and never had them lose items and several time forgot to unload them of everything I wanted to and dismissed them only to use them another time to go "oh thats where that went"

but like others have said the follower could have been disarmed, in which case the weapon is on the ground somewhere in skyrim.

I've had followers lose weapons, I suppose from being disarmed and then not picking them back up. This was a problem in the Fallout games as well.

As far as potions go, the only ones I've seen followers use are health potions.

That's what he loaded her up with. Maybe stamina too, but definitly health. Then *poof* gone. It is kind of a bumber that the followers wont pick up the dropped weapon. I wonder if they would pick it up if it was their personal weapon?

That's got to be it. I had to go back at least three times because he was down....

Thanks.

Next question: Will Mzuflt respawn?
