Have you notice how poor the shop owners are?

Post » Thu Jun 14, 2012 5:57 pm

I [censored], pillage and plunder dungeons to sell my loot - when i do, i find the shop keepers run out of money long before I make it half way through, resulting in me going to other shop keepers....or other towns.

Thoughts?

Get your speechcraft up and do the thieves guild.
Some have said that their shoppkeepers have like 10k gold.

Hardly poor, when they make their money back within 24 - 48 hours. They buy your goods for less, and sell them for more. Real buisness tactics.

Are you new to the game? Have you been outside Riverwood? There are 7 merchants with 6500 gold in whiterun alone. You should not be having problem getting rid of mere 2-5k worth of loot in one go.

Just take a carriage to other cities if you must.

The merchants are generally gold poor unless you invest precious perk points into their bankrolls and what they'll trade. So far, I've refused to do that, and just dealt with the issue as best as I can. Sometimes I'll go on a trading voyage, hitting all the towns and camps with my excess inventory. But I still have items worth a great deal more than any merchant can afford to buy from me.

i've noticed most of my merchants don't have much gold either, what i do is after getting a house to store stuff and the perk allowing me to sell anything not stolen to any merchant and go to merchants that i want some expensive product from such as a weapon, potions, ingrediants, etc. and buy it and then make my money back selling the loot
