Have your Habits Changed?

have your Habits from past TES game change in anyway for Skyrim?

I find I don't run around with weapons unsheathed anymore, and I don't go jumping into water anymore . I also change armor..constantly, In Morrowind and Oblivion I always wore one pair of Clothing that suited my vision of my Char...now I just put on anything :/. I also Dump items out in the open more often if I'm over encumbered without a second thought ;o

I've stopped looting stuff except for gold gems and the occasional unique weapon or spellbook. There's just not much of a point anymore.

My habits haven't changed in the least. I'm still hoarding everything and not selling stuff and throwing it all into the exact same container.

What can I say, I can't help it. :P

Sure, when I play I have already woken up in game early, do what I need to do and when I am about to conclude my session of gaming I go to a bed and sleep, and pick up where I last played. I do not walk around towns with my helmet on out of respect, also when I go to a new area, if I find a follower I will usually ask them to come along and when we completed the quest I dismiss them until furthur notice.

I make use of the new sprint function but apart from that, no. I still loot anything that isn't nailed down and still jump everywhere despite there being no acrobatics. I'm not going let a removed skill hinder my vertical mobility :P

i do no house decoration anymore.

the drop item, leave, return trick isn't worth it.

i also find that i am not engaging in any dialogue with a lot more npc's: unwanted quests and meaninglessness.

Yes, I've noticed I'm not jumping across the land scape anymore to try to get those levels.

That. Since there is nothing positive, or remotely interesting to be gained from talking to most of them, I stopped doing so as well. Sad.

I too have stopped talking to NPCs as much, or, at the very least, when I enter dialogue and see I'm going to be pressed into completing a quest for them, I exit immediately. The way Skyrim handles these side quests is just silly.

I'm sure there are things that I have changed, but it's mostly the same probably. I never looted mundane items, because a real adventurer wouldn't go out looking for iron daggers to sell back in the city. I've always tried to read every new book I come across, though often that requires I take it some place safe to do so. Things like that are typical for immersion seeking players.

I seldom enchant things anymore, and when I do it is to sell them, not to use them. I don't buy enchanted items in shops anymore, but I mostly gave up on buying those things with Oblivion, not Skyrim. In fact, I rarely buy anything in shops anymore except for an occasional spell book or a potion of cure disease.

I've started to roleplay more to compensate the game's lack of depth.

They have. My first character was little to no rp. Now the ones I create are very specific in what they do

I've started to roleplay more to compensate the game's lack of depth.

that's funny because i started by strictly rping my first 3-4 primary archetype characters. and, what i got was very bored after about 150 hours and i almost ended up shelving the game.

luckily, i decided i'd make a hybrid that could do everything and be all-powerful. now, i can pick up the controller and play however i'd like on any given day and not feel forced into a specific roleplay. now, i can make up for the lackluster combat by using all my skills and perks in one battle or just one skill group. if i want to strictly rp, i do a DID run.

i can be a thief today and a mage tomorrow or a master of all everyday.

it brought back some fun and, at the very least, delayed the time when i'll go replay oblivion and deeply compare it with skyrim and make some huge judgments of the two.

Same here. I have everything I need, so over encumbering myself over things I may or may not sell is out of the question. As an alchemist, I never run out of money anyways. Dragonbones and scales sell for plenty but they weigh a ton. It's probably mostly due to smithing and Oblivion's leveled items. In Morrowind, There were a ton of weapons and armor to customize and eventually I would find that rare daedric helmet and had little reason for helmet collecting at that point, but I'd still collect different sets and place them in my "home" whenever I want to mix things up. The Tribunal museum was my favorite quest to try and finish, even though technically it'll never be complete.
Playing Oblivion made me care little for random gear because the best could be found right away, and if I needed gold I find a few bandits and sell their daedric armor. Artifacts are my addiction.
Now I create my own "leveled" armor, and collect any awesome artifact I can. The thieves guild is among my favorite because of all these neat things you can find on missions and display them in HQ. I couldn't be happier.

I never really enchanted my own items a lot in previous games, (I mean I did, just not with every character), but I definitely stopped buying stuff from shops most of the time. When I wasn't playing a magic-user, I used smithing on every character so there was no need to buy anything. It's also notable that after 2-3 days of playing I realized that I would never find anything new at shops other than leveled items. Pointless to look at the shopkeeper's inventory because I know there will never be anything better than what I have in my inventory.

As I magic user, I did buy soul gems and spell tomes, and occasionally enchanted items just to disenchant them and make a more powerful version.

I think I am still the same character from previous games. All my gear is even named the same as it was in previous games, all I need is a spear. :P

Habits change slightly with each game.
I'm still hoarding loot (although in Oblivion I did this less at least when I went through Oblivion Gates), more of my characters practice alchemy in Oblivion and Skyrim than in MW, sneak is still always my 1st skill to reach 100, I still hoard potions and scrolls for when I'll really need them (which never seems to happen), and I still seem to spend an inordinate amount of time traipsing around shops selling off junk (but I did this less in Oblivion since junk usually had no value at all).
