My current system:

AMD Phenom X 4 3.7 GHz (not OC'd)
8gig Corsair DDR3 16
nVidia 560ti

I am running Skyrim on ultra-high, but after a random amount of time I begin to get extreme stuttering and/or audio static (I say audio static because audio begins to sound very tinny). This problem has only occurred when coming out of a load screen - entering/leaving a town for example, it does not happen as I am actually playing. I thought after searching here and other places that it could be a driver issue but this keeps happening regardless of what driver I am (clean) installing. Also, this is the only game in which I am having any problems at all.

I have used mods (Bethesda and community HD mods, for example), but this problem happens with and without any mods loaded.

Any help with this would be much appreciated.

Edit: Should also mention that I am using a Corsair 800w PSU and that all temps according to SpeedFan check out good.

Try reducing the bitrate of your sound. Also - try adjusting the ini files under the graphical settings. Also - does it stutter if you just play on high?
Just because it's not hot doesn't mean it's not being thrashed...

Tried the suggestions listed here but unfortunately I am still having this issue. I can get around it by saving the game and then restarting, but it is very tedious having to do this each and every time it decides to act this way.

The most simple solution for this sudden stuttering bug (because it is a bug) is this:
- before playing Skyrim open a empty TXT file and leave it open.
- now play Skyrim.
- when there is the sudden stutter when going from indoor to outdoor scene, make a quick-safe with F5, pause the game and use the Alt/Tab keyboard combination and select the text file. This will bring you to the empty textfile on your desktop.
- now use the Alt/Tab combination to select Skyrim. A black screen will appear. Now again use Alt/Tab to select Skyrim and you will be back in the game without stutter.

This all seems bit complicated but in realtime it only takes 10 seconds.

This mod for me made version 1.5 much more playable without so much stutter episodes.

Thanks for the tip. I see from your sig that we are using very similar rigs to play so I am hoping that this works. Also, after searching for hours I am glad (actually) to see someone else having this issue when entering/exiting a shop/indoor/outdoor area. Was beginning to believe that it was something on my end that I could not run down.
