Having Trouble Curing My Werewolfism

Post » Mon Jun 04, 2012 12:08 pm

I've been a werewolf in this game since doing the Companion questline very early on. Since then I've completed that particular questline, have logged in so many hours and turned into a werewolf twice. I know you have to take a Glenmoril Witch's head to Ysgramor's Tomb and toss it into the Flame of the Harbinger. Every time I go there and try to cure myself I'm not given any option to interact with the Flame. I have about four Witch heads so I'm not running short on those but I can't figure out why I'm not able to cure me and get rid of this useless perk. Any help or ideas are greatly appreciated!

Try getting the quests to cure Vilkas and Farkas, and see if you can cure your Lycanthropy afterwards. BTW I love the term Werewolfism, it is my new word of the day

It's called "LYCANTHROPY!"

LY.CAN.THROPY.

And you have to cure the twins, Farkas and Vilkas. Good day sir.

yep. what they said ^^. i had the same problem. finally realized i had to cure them both. the trick is to ask only those 2 for work/jobs and if you dont get it then go do the job, come back and ask the same one you just asked, and repeat and usually takes 1 or none to get it. then after go 2 the next brother and should be the 1st job given, if not def. the 2nd. then after cure the 2nd brother you can toss in your own witch head. hope you got enough heads when you did the quest, if you wiped them out you will have enough and 1 extra since Aela does not want to change. Good luck!

Make sure you cure Farkas first because Vilkas won't give you the option until his brother is cured. And Farkas won't give you the option until you complete the quest to see a dragon with him. And remember you'll have to complete radiant minor quests for both of them before they give the desired dialogue.

really?? thats weird, i know i did Farkas first yes, but I never saw anything about seeing a Dragon first. It's like a quest or something? he says lets go see a dragon before i give up my Beast power? then you go find one or something? i guess maybe we encountered one early early on when i had him with me to train up unless we encountered one when we did that early quest together to clear that dungeon and prove my worth to join. when you first see him change into a wolf when your locked in the room lol. cool, didnt know that, learn something new every day! will have to keep a look out for that on my next play through as a Argonian Werewolf Wizard!

It is a quest. But he doesn't bring up wanting to be cured with this particular adventure. He basiclly says he wants to see a dragon. So a marker appears at one of the dragon mounds, you go there with him, fight it, and that's it. Both my wife and I had to do this quest before Farkas brought up the dialogue about wanting to be cured. And it's definitely after you prove your worth to join. (After Companion main quest.)

Unless you release yourself right after Kodlak you have to release the brothers first as others said.

And if you release the brothers and don't release yourself right then and there, I think you're stuck.
