Head Gear Problems

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 6:09 pm

Hi All

I am trying to make some special headgear but once I make a copy of an existing piece of headgear it no longer sits properly on my character, they sit on his shoulder at a 90 degree angle.

To make a new piece of headgear I am editing an existing item, changing its ID and making a new form. This item appears to be OK and I can equip it like normal and any enchantments I have added work it just doesnt sit where its meant to.
I thought it might be the enchantments but the items still sit funny without them.

Am I going about making a new item the right way?

Thanks in advance.

Cheers

You need to select "update facegen model availability" under the characters tab in the geck. This will correct your new headgear items, however, this causes all of the vanilla head gear to become rotated due to an annoying bug.

To fix that problem see http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1134269-solution-to-the-update-facegen-sideways-hats-bug/page__p__16602500__fromsearch__1&#entry16602500 for two known fixes, found just slightly lower on the 1st page of this forum....

It's usually easier, and faster to search for a solution instead of posting a new thread about it.
