Health Buff Bug

Hello,

I have recently noticed that my health is 5 higher than it should be. It is highlighted green (as though there is a buff), but after repeatedly removing all of my equipment and having this effect for at least the last 50 hours of game time, I believe it to be a bug.

Firstly, I was wondering if anyone knew of any way that this could be fixed, as I don't believe that the new patch has fixed it and as it is a relatively minor issue will most likely not be seeing very much attention any time soon, and I'm quite sure that the hard-working folks at Bethesda are very busy at the moment. I know it isn't particularly game-breaking, but it is still nevertheless irritating.

Secondly, I have read on some forums through a quick search that there may be a possibility of using console commands to fix this. My main concerns with this are 1) doing something that will break or damage my game/save files and 2) the potential loss of Steam achievements or the inability to get them.

Thank you all very much, especially to the kind souls who take the time to help.

I found this searching around for a fix. It does work and as far as I can tell there are no negative repercussions:

Here's how to fix your health (or any other stat) being bugged too high:

Open the console
Type "player.getavinfo health"
This will show something like:

Current Value: 290.66 Computed Base: 200.00
Modifiers: Temp: 0.00 Perm: 90.66 Damage: 0.00

The bugged health is 90.66 too high. To drop the 90.66 perm modifier you type this: "player.forceav health 200" and just replace 200 with whatever your "Computed Base" (your real base HP value) should be. This will reset your health back to it's default base level, no more Red or Green color on it in the stat window.
