heartbreak in new vegas

I am bakedpotato-->and I have been a bethesda softworks game fan for years. I love the games they put out and have been playing them since morrowind. oblivion was the best rpg game ever second to super mario rpg. it was my baseline RPG for all others will still be judged based on it.

That would tell yah something about how awesome gamesas has to be to do that. to make a baseline rpg that everyone bases any other game off of in that genre.

oblivion runs flawlessly on my system. it is even a server operating system. I love it. I played 300 some off hours in it and only 8 crashes in the entire lifetime I've had this game and I've had it since release. that is pretty amazing.

now skip ahead to fallout 3 and I have had nothing but problems with it, from clipping issues, to CTDs to freezing to the point of holding my power button down to hard shut-down my pc. I would normally have a crash or something every half an hour I played FO3. that is pretty bad. the patches would make it mabye at the most 15% less frequent. but that is not much of a fix. i waited and waited and even tried different drivers and even fresh OS installs and not much improvement.

I was saddened and very angry becuase this game was so fun to play and I was missing out.

I then tried FONV and here's the pitch:

Fallout New Vegas, now with 60% more bugs! Enjoy!

I was DEVASTATED and heartbroken. I was crying all nite about it. literally. I love gamesas's games and the company. I wanted to even work there. I had nothign but support and I have even defended them in other forums and I even tried to work with the problems, but there is only so long you can lie to yourself.

I am crying as I am typing this becuase I am so bored of all the other games that came out this year and I am tired and weary. I am very upset and I am wondering how in the hell gamesas could let this happen.

I am very dissapointed.

If you want assistance to get your game working to your satisfaction, you are in the right place but since you gave us no indication of what problems you are having we have nothing to go on. If you just wanted to lodge your complaint or your disappointment please find an open thread to do so over in the general NV section.

Please know that they are aware of many of the issues and a patch is on the way:

We’ve come up with solutions for the Xbox 360 save issue folks are reporting, along with a number of other issues being reported. We’re currently running final testing and certification on a comprehensive patch for all three platforms (PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3), so we’ll have something available in the coming weeks. When we have more details, we’ll let you know.

In the meantime, an incremental update for PC should be going up by early next week that will fix the save corruption issues and problems with companions, as well as improve performance for NVIDIA users and resolve some issues reported with Havok.

And have you visited our Support page for this game?
http://support.gamesas.com/eng/platformlist.asp?sid=110748101021012145063002&pid=400000953&pnm=Fallout:+New+Vegas

Should you like to post your specific problems and your Dx so we can try and assist you now feel free to start a new thread.
