So guys....
Let me start off by saying that I think that dawnguard looks absolutely amazing!
I have signed up for the beta (yes Im one of the xbox guys) and cant wait to shred vamps as a super buffed werewolf xD

So that being said:
Even though Danwguard hasnt even been released yet, I cant help, but wonder what the second DLC Hearth Fire (assuming its a dlc for skyrim) would revolve around. Im sure that I am not the only one wondering on these forums.
So I wanted to start a thread.

I went to the UESP to check up on all that I could find on the subject. Most of it is of course guessing, since we only have the name, but I still find the speculating entertaining.

As most of us know, Hearth Fire is the name of one of the months in Tamrielic calendars, specifically it equals to September.
So I looked the calendar up and read the following (all of this is based on daggerfall calendars, since skyrim calendars does not include holidays and so on and so forth):

- The month of Nocturnals summoning day (Daedras seem to play a big role In alot of TES DLC's, so why not? People have also been guessing that Molag Bal will play a big role in Dawnguard):

- Childrens Day:
The UESP said the following about Childrens day:
"Children's Day in Betony is a festive occasion with a grim history. All know though few choose to recall that Children's Day began as a memorial to the dozens of children in Betony who were stolen from their homes by vampires one night never to be seen again. This happened over a hundred years ago, and the holiday has since become a celebration of youth".

So maybe more vampire stuff??

- Khurat:
The day when young scholars are accepted into priesthoods.

-Tales and Tallows:
Basically the same thing as Halloween

- Riglamentha
A day when daedra worshippers were turned into harpies for their blasphemy.


So that basically covers the calendar.
Yes I know, that all of these holidays are celebrated in the Wrothgarian Mountains, where Daggerfall takes place, and is most likely not celebrated in Skyrim. The only likely events of those above to happen, is the summoning of Nocturnal (at least I believe).

Also Hearth Fire and various other month names, is used for the titles of various conjuration skill books.



But what do you guys wish from Hearth Fire? Any unfinished business from Skyrim?

Personally I would like to see:

- The Thalmor getting their asses kicked, which would probably mean that you would have to be able to join them as well.
- That big ass gate leading to Morrowind being used
- Maybe something more about the Blades? Kind of return them to their former glory like you could do with the thieves guild?

I don't think there'll be anymore vampire stuff.

Well I for one certainly dont hope so.
That would just be too much, and I think vampires is such a used elements now a days, that TES would kill it even more by having more stuff about it, besides Dawnguard.

We need a damn REAL mages guild/questline the colledge of plot holes/cliffhangers was awful.

Yeah, there is alot of ground to be covered, and I also feel like with such a great magic system, they should just utilize it even more.
In the game jam video, they had that "combining different spells" which lokked awesome!
That could be very cool to see in the future!

Main, civil, mages and DB quest spoilers

When I hear Hearthfire mentioned, the Dragonfires instantly comes to mind. I think it comes to mind, because in Oblvion you see the Hearth where the Dragonfires rest. It almost certainly has nothing to do with Dragonfires so I'm somewhat stumped by the name Hearthfire.

I have a theory that Hearthfire DLC is named after the Conjuration skill book, and rightfully so. My theory is that the DLC will have to do with the resurrection of (assuming they don't squeeze him somewhere into Dawnguard (I would be upset.)) the Snow Elf Prince.

As for what I hope it will contain? Lots, and lots, and LOTS....did I mention LOTS.... of Magic. I want new spells, new spell effects, and spell making in the upcoming DLC. Also, Snow Elves are awesome and it would seem like the right time to include some lovin' for the magic users, because we seriously deserve it.

Edit: Oh, and I want more robes (both enchanted and unenchanted) and new Staves.
