Heartstones-what are they? what purpose do they serve? i mine them, they have value but so far i cannot see what they can be used for if anything and yet.........it seems to me they should be used for something- bit like daedra hearts in Daedric gear

Other than a quest for Neloth and a certain summon, I have found no other use for them. To be fair, I haven't really been looking around for things to use them with though.

Atronarch forge anyone?

You need them to make staffs and to control the Ash Guardian if you learn that conjuration spell.
