I always thought Glass or Elven was the coolest looking of the regular armors. However, why do you need us to tell you what the coolest looking armor is. Shouldn't you decide what is the best looking armor?

Not everyone plays to make the strongest Dragonborn possible.

TBH, all the armors in this game look good, except maybe Scaled, and that is because it makes NPCs look like a Goatman

Anyway, I think any armor is pretty bad ass looking. So, enjoy the surprise.

for heavy armor i oddly enough think regular steel armor looks the best. I also like steel plate and ebony alot. Dwarven is cool as well. Dont like orcish and never have like daedric.

For light i prefer the unique armors more than the regular ones in this game. Glass looks more like a heavy armor this time around imo.

Most of the armours look fine to me. Helmets are my problem, hate the full face ones. Imho, the Orcish and dragonscale helmets look real good, though I have a soft spot for Forsworn headdresses, and my new Breton rocks the steel horned helmet.

Again my opinion, but dragonscale looks so much better then dragonbone. And you need a certain type of character to pull off Daedric, I mean real death knight or evil war priest level of nastiness.

:whisper: With the Armor Cap, they all have the same stats.

With a few select Perks that is.

Yep, still have not done the Companions or the Dark Brotherhood quest lines, nor have I discovered all the locations yet. This game is huge.

Plus, my bosses have decided to utilize my talents in my day job so now I have to work a lot of nights (network engineer for an ISP)

That's a good question, I can't really pick one or the other. I love Ebony Armor, Daedric Armor and the Ancient Nord Armor but I also like Forsworn Armor, Scaled Armor, and Glass Armor.

Both Light and Heavy armor have their Gems.

I really like Iron, Banded Iron, Ebony and Daedric for Heavy, though Daedric is pushing it a little with the obnoxious glowing red aura, and the should-spikes the size of a claymore.

Light Armor, I really like Studded, Scaled (Probably my favorite), Elven and Savoir's Hide (Female only). Dragonscale looks okay on Males, female is perhaps the ugliest armor in the game.

I like the construction of Elven the most, but the bright yellow color is a little too... Loud?

I was really disappointed that Mithril armor wasn't in the game, even though all the Talos Statues seem to be wearing it. Maybe a DLC? Light Armor: Talos's Mail. Heavy Armor: Ysgramor's Plate.

Im quite the opposite. I hardly bother with stats. If it looks good, i wear it. Thats why im still wearing Steel Nordic Gauntlets on a lvl63 character.

Looks are so much more important. As far as the game will allow, of course.

(I really loved the Reinforced Leather Armor in FO:NV. Great, great look. Tried to keep it as long as possible, but the Damage Threshold system meant that I eventually was forced to upgrade. Such a shame. On the other hand, it's nice that the Fallout games were never hard enough that I had to use the Power Armor.... that stuff is ugly as sin. Will never touch it.)

edit: I think my favorite default Skyrim armors (female) are Leather and Steel (no shoulderpads).
