I started a new game yesterday and for some reason I haven't heard Heimskr preaching in the street, he just stands there silently while people watch, anyone else had this issue?

Broken voice glitch or undownloaded voice files?

I don't think so but I'm reinstalling just to be sure, I've got a nasty feeling it's something to do with running an older executable while Bethesda fix the grass shadowing.

Had this happen to me once. I was playing an altmer and Heimskr never preached a word. Best. Whiterun. Ever. Never happened to any character before or after, just that one altmer. I have used various mods, but not any that should have affected witerun or Heimskr directly. Anyway, yes I've had it happen, but have no actual clue as to why, and how it got fixed.

I like to think that Heismkr saw that the Dragonborn was an altmer and wisely decided to shut up.


Edit: Also never had any other audio issues, on that altmer playthrough or any other playthrough.

Yeah I knew some might see it as a blessing I'm just concerned because if one thing is broken this close to the start of the game I don't want to risk more frustration 100 hours down the line.

I started a new game and he's fine again, god knows why but oh well.
