Seriously guys, I'm struggling here. I've always had restartitis with RPG's, I guess I'm just too picky with characters. But the thing is, in every Elder Scrolls game I've played, there has been one that clicked, and a few more that followed. For some reason though, I can't find that "one" in Skyrim.

So, as always, I ask you, my fellow travelers of Nirn, to help me with this dilemma.

In Morrowind, the one that got me going was Aralin Hlerayn, a female Dunmer of House Telvanni. She eventually became Archmagister, and a good friend to the Nerevarine. This was many years ago though, when I first played Morrowind, so details of her are sketchy at best.

In Oblivion, it was Helena Aurelie, a Breton Healer (no direct damage). She never really got far in the Mages Guild questline, preferring to spend her time travelling Cyrodiil helping out where she could.


The latest idea I've had is a young Khajiit, recently escaped from slavery. But to be honest, I'm open to any and all suggestions.

I would try a classic Nord warrior. I think it fits well in the storyline. You could also try a nightblade.

I'm generally a sneak guy, but I'll 2nd the nord warrior. It fits in really well. You can RP a bit and pick your side in the rebellion etc.

Personally I'm going to make some sort of Redguard cloth warrior (maybe light armor, we'll see) that uses magic and conjured weapons. Sort of arabian knights kind of thing.

Sounds to me from your previous characters that you clicked with were mages. I would go for a mage, your Khajiit could work his way to the college. From slave to Archmage.

Otherwise I would roll a Nord sword and board. It does fit.
