Help... Don't want to be a bachelor FOREVER!

Post » Sat Jul 14, 2012 3:09 am

Hey everyone, I for reasons that I cannot share with you killed my wife... The beautiful Ysolda in my Whiterun home. Now I can't marry.
Please help me find away or else my Muscular Nord Male will be a Barney Stinson FOREVER!

Maybe there's a mod for this. Or maybe some console commands would help. Otherwise you're screwed i think :D

Another one who killed the wife and can't remarry, boohoo.

Maybe that's a good thing.

At least on the 360 getting married is still a one-time deal, so yeah, you'll want to choose wisely.

*Sigh* I wish it were not true.
The life of the bachelor is full of rue.
If wingmen and bros are now your thing
Then you will never hear a wedding bell ring!

What do you think of my poem, just made it up

I felt bad, so i backed it up with some dodgy - Imperial killed her while she was picking flowers in the meadow and I got there too late - kind of backstory. It's sad but as creative as a thirteen year old can be in this game.

Yup, there's probably lots of rumors going on blaming you as guilty as you are for her death. Who ever wants to marry one who's known as "Spouse-Killer"?

Um, you're a widower, not a bachelor!

Anyway, if you are on PC, check the http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Marriage for marriage for some options. Unfortunately, if you're a console user, you're out of luck.

It would be hilarious if they released a "patch" allowing for remarriage after divorce-by-murder but that also removed every NPC in the game from the potential spouse faction. And then added Moira the Hagraven to it as your only "trade up" option. :P

Thats cruel, sadly im a console user. No one suspects that it was me because lydia was locked in some cave (I eventually found her) and all evidence was "removed" from her house and coffin. Thanks for the help though guys.

Rumors can get roaming around even without any evidence. If someone just gets idea about it and tells it to another you will have a rumor - nothing else is needed.

Hes very lonely inside. Ill probably go to the bannered mare and ask for rumours and theyll tell me about a string of murders in whiterun and some random quest will start which requires me to kill myself.

Well.. that's not too terribly hard. Remove all your weapons. Strip naked and go punch the Jarl in the face. Just keep your hands up and plead insanity.

Actually that's quite common behaviour for citizens of Skyrim, particularly couriers, so I doubt you'd get off with insanity for that...
