Help a TV/electronics nub

Post » Tue Dec 06, 2011 11:28 pm

My apartment that I just moved into provides cable.

So, I brought my TV. There is a cable outlet in the wall, cool. I connect my TV, cool. It works, cool.

however, there is no box or anything, or a remote. How do I change channels, and all other functions? I have no way to do any of that afaik.

Get up, walk to the TV, and change the channel. :P
Or if you don't find the original remote you can buy a universal remote. :whisper:

any of that afaik.

Go to the office and ask for a cable box if they provide you with free cable. Otherwise you have to contact a cable provider.

I am assuming you are using an ancient wooden RCA tv with a knob that has 7 channels.

It's a modern vizio tv.

Changing the channel on the television doesn't do anything.

It's a modern vizio tv.

Changing the channel on the television doesn't do anything.

Go to the menu on the tv and auto program the cable input...
