Help me find a good location for a mod. :p

So, I need a good location for a mod of mine, that is for an entrance, and I was hoping people might know some great logical spots to fit my needs. :D

Some details:
The actual entrance will be just a short cave/tomb/whatever, that only serves as a portal to a bigger exterior I can edit without messing with vanilla. However that exterior was imagined as somewhat neutral foresty area (as in not a pine forest), between mountains, you could say even hidden, so I assume the best place to explain spatiality (is that a good english word?) would be an entrance into a bordering mountain, that's not covered in snow or something. I was wandering Skyrim for a longer time and couldn't decide- and I'm all for suggestions, so shoot! :)

It's actually a good question and I thank you for asking it as well as thinking about it in the first place. You've done most of the work yourself in getting to the answer already though as by the sound of it you need an external area which has a lot of mist and between a cleft in a mountain side. I'd say go for it!

The other thing to bear in mind is that a) you want people to enjoy the mod, but B) you don't want to put the entrance in a location that's already got a high level of mod traffic which might mess up someone's mod.

Very good point as I was about to release my own little mod tomorrow but I shouldn't use a trapdoor behind Breezehome as the location really considering.

When it comes to entrances and terrain alteration how much is too much?
