To help kill time.....What other games are you playing?

Post » Fri Dec 09, 2011 12:51 am

I personally only played World of Warcraft, I am a five year veteran. I stopped playing to recover from it while I waited for Skyrim but I find myself being drawn to The Witcher 2 and the game in progress Kingdom of Amulur: Reckoning.

I like Medieval RPG games as you can tell.

I guess the real question is.....what games would the Skyrim community suggest for me to try? Non MMO.

Minecraft. Especially if you can get into a good multiplayer server with a nice community, but singleplayer is fun too.
Tons of people play it xD

I've been playing quite a bit of Team Fortress 2 lately.

I've also recently gotten into APB: Reloaded. It's actually very fun if you don't mind the terrible community (free to play game, go figure). If anyone else here plays, look me up sometime. I'm Riverstyx on the Colby (US West) server, Criminal side.

Let me ask you a question, are there different characters to play? Or just the main guy?

It really looks like a fun game!

Was playing Mount & Blade: Warbands, but I've arrived at that point where I can't get into any game as Skyrim is around the corner. Investing time in a playthrough that I likely can't finish before Skyrim is out and won't be interested in when I'm done with Skyrim just isnt something I can get myself to do.

I was playing Minecraft for some time until two weeks ago when I bought Deus Ex Human Revolution. So now, I've been beating DX a few times on each difficulty to get all achivements in the game. I only lack the Foxiest of the Hounds achievement, but it's bugged so I've stopped playing DX now.

Right now, I'm having a small break from games. Planning some Skyrim characters, fixing my apartment, preparing my future game developer career, etc.

I think I am going to look into getting it, it looks fun and just being able to play Geralt I guess isn't so bad. The game looks pretty awesome though :hubbahubba:

Playing the Shivering Isles.

Also, I've never played Oblivion on PC, so it's kind of fun to watch TV and play at the same time.

Currently working my way through Deus Ex: Invisible War (yes, that middle game no one talks about...). It's surprisingly not horrible. Inferior to the original in every conceivable way, yes, but still a decent enough game.

Say, since some of you here are playing The Witcher 2. Would you recommend the game to someone who thought The Witcher 1 was a bad game ? I tried the first one but ultimately found it to be too much of a "grind X of Y" game with poor instructions and layout. The lack of freedom and the limits to character customization were also a big turn off for me with the first game.

Anyway what I am playing right now as I wait for Skyrim is not much, just a bit of Oblivion. Don't really have time for games ATM because I have books to read (A feast for crows + Lord of Souls) and D&D rules to learn since my friends and I are starting that.

lol, same here. I have 3 or 4 games I keep meaning to play but haven't gotten far into any of them...M&B:Warband included (loved the original M&B tho).

Metro 2033 has been a bit of fun tho....if only to test out the video card. Looks great on DX11-max.
Stalker:Pripyat looks like something I'd enjoy as well, but requires a time-investment I don't want to get into at the moment.

I was playing Metro 2033, Batman AA and Dark Messiah. I stopped playing all of these gradually and now I'm not even excited for Skyrim. :( It happens each year, I start losing interest in video games. I hope the interest resurfaces soon...

What you just said.....

I was logging into WoW and it felt like a chore that I hated doing with every fiber of my being. The forums.....for the love of Merlin I wanted to use bleach on my eyes when I went there. All people did was complain, be it "LOL Wrath killed WoW" Screw you newb Cata killed WoW" "Oh my god I miss Wrath so much Cata blows" Oh my God Blizz what is your iussue Panda's omglolwtfbbq!"

It got so old.

Skyrim and Kingdom of Amalur:Reckoning will be so....quiet I can't wait!
