Help, please (sounds and crash problems)

Post » Wed Mar 09, 2011 9:46 am

Sorry for my bad english, I′m spanish. Fallout New Vegas is a great game, but has a lot of technical problems:

-Now, the game crashes and my monitor shows ¨desact.monitor¨. With other games, this is not happening, why?

-A minor issue: coitos interruptus with New Vegas Radio songs. I can′t listen all songs, Mr New Vegas skips them after fews seconds after begin. I only can listen good news, news, news.

Any solution, please? Many thanks

Nop, it happens after 10 minutes of gameplay.

I explain it more:
After 10 minutes of gameplay (more o less), the game crashes and shows the tipical box ¨Fallout New Vegas has a problem and must be closen¨. The Windows screens appears in 4 bits mode!! when I close the aplication (no before), the video signal turn off.

My PC is:
quad core 2.4 Ghz 6600
2 Gb Ram
Geforce 450 1 Gb (last drivers are installed)

Ah,one thing more. Sometimes, textures of my pipboy or my character disapears and going yellow. Why?

Repeat, with other games this is not happening, only with Fallout New Vegas.

I don't know if Microsoft has a Spanish language page for their Clean Boot procedure, but that's always the best way to track down an interruptive type failure, as when an AV program steps on the game's code (which happens frequently with the most heavily promoted of commercial; AV products, such as MacAfee and Nortons, and a wide array of add-on frill programs). DxDiag's can tell some of us more then just basic spec's

For sound related issues that can also be the cause of CTD you need a clean DirectShow Filter list. http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=35868 is a good place to start.
