HELP - I've really messed up

Post » Thu Dec 08, 2011 1:56 pm

So I got excited about a new ES game before I even knew what it was about.

I was just hanging out at gamestop when the guy asked me if I wanted to put some money down to reserve my copy of Skyrim. I honestly didn't know what it was but then he told me it was ES5 and I said ABSOLUTELY!

Then I came home and was all excited about this new game and so to satisfy my urges, I loaded up Fallout 3 because I hadn't played that in awhile. I had no idea it had been 3+ years since I played it until I was checking the time stamp of my previously saved games. WOW! So I started a brand new game.

Now I'm totally hooked on Fallout 3 and Skyrim is being released next week.

I'm so torn....what should I do? Should I keep playing Fallout or jump to Skyrim?

Oh and I'm totally buying the collectors edition of Skyrim when it's released....that isn't even in question. :celebration:

I'd say keep playing Fallout because Skyrim will always be there waiting for you, this way you can get full enjoyment of fallout then when you get bored of that you already have an amazing game waiting for you. plus there will probably be patches for skyrim so it wont be as buggy for your first playthrough.

Hardly a life ending problem! :P

Can't you just play FO until you're tired of it? Skyrim won't dissolve if you don't play it immediately.

Play it all day until skyrim comes out. You will be burnt out by then. But by the nine divines do not download the DLCs

Wait, what?! In the nicest possible way, have you been living under a rock the past few months? How have you not heard of Skyrim until now? :lmao:

My answer to your question is absolutely buy Skyrim. Then you can play that and continue to play Fallout 3. :tops:

I'm getting really tired of all these Skyrim threads bleeding over into CD, there is a reason I am not in the Skyrim section.

OP, seriously, this is just stupid, has the thought ever crossed your mind to play both?

Pointless thread is pointless

Skyrim's not going anywhere. Play whatever you want right now. I'll probably finish Two Worlds II before I start it (so it might be close to Thanksgiving). /shrug

Just buy it and play it when you're done with FO3. It's not like you have to play Skyrim upon purchase or it will disintegrate.

Why post this in CD? Why don't you post it in the Skyrim or Fallout 3 sections where it'll actually be relevant?

I agree, getting the FO3 GOTY would be the best way to get the FO3 DLC

Of course. Has it not ever crossed your mind that we're talking about games and entertainment?

Solution - Spend the rest of the week huddled in your man cave playing Fallout 3 for hours on end for as long as possible. Once you're satisfied, your Skyrim package will arrive and you can put down Fallout 3, let it collect dust like before and begin Skyrim. Then sometime in the near future, you will be faced with the same situation, when another new game comes out. Fallout 3 is the sixy Siren of gaming. Luring you in with it's pleasures, only to have you meet you untimely end in distraction of the rest of the world.

Get SKryim but wait to play it. I'm doing this because I have stipulated that I must complete all of Oblivion on a single character before I am allowed to begin Skyrim, and I dont think Ill have it done by the 11th.

I'm trying...seriously. I spent 3 hours this morning killing mole rats, fire ants and taking out as many raiders and I could....then I had to go to my golf lesson. Now I'm back home and have to work but as soon as that's done, I'm all in.

But I can hear it.....calling to me. :cryvaultboy:

You're lucky, you're experiencing Fallout 3 for the first time ever. Possibly the best gaming experience known to man. Enjoy it, you won't regret it. Skyrim is not going anywhere, it'll always be there when you're done.

Have you been living under a rock? How did you not know that TES 5 was coming out. It's mentioned on this forum constantly, man. I don't get it.

YOU'RE NOT HELPING! :toughninja:

See the thing is, my games back in '08 I only made it to level 7 before moving on. I'm not even sure why I moved on because I do remember having fun and enjoying FO - prolly work related or something. So I've never completed the game nor did I buy any of the expansions. I'm thinking I should cuz this is too much fun.
