I have just arrived from a hard quest and found that some one, unknown, has moved in my house in Whiterun (Breezehome). I'm not married and never asked to get it and not wearing Mara's amulet. Worse, my Magnus Staff has disappeared from the rack! I found a second bed with a few stuff upstairs. I'm really mad.. Shall I start the whole quest again? (Get the horn). Can someone tell me what to do to get rid of this unknown person?? Before that other important things disappear...

When you become Thane you get a housecarl called Lydia who lives there.

1. Lydia lives there now.

2. Weapon racks are bugged. It wasn't stolen. It's either somewhere else in your house or lost forever.

It sounds like your lost follower came home. Did you check in the back bedroom to see if (s)he were there and if (s)he had picked up your item?

Other then this, I have no ideas to help.

Edit - seems others, who type faster had the same idea as well.

Hay that's horrible and hilarious I would save and experiment I have no clue what happened.
I would wait till night and see if someone is sleeping there then confront them or kill them lol!

Sometimes random NPC do go in there when you enter, they however do leave after, and do not touch anything.

Either you have misplaced the staff or it's gone.

Yes weapon racks are bugged! I reloaded 3 saved games. The staff is fully seen on the rack. Later on I see only half ot it. At the third saved I can hardly see it and now it has disappeared for good. Lost forever. I don't mind but why not tell us about this bug before it's too late?

All your houses come with a room for your housecarl.. you can't sleep in it. Lydia never spends time in her room. she's always sitting in my room on the chair.

She' trying to seduce you, don't give in.

The weapon rack in Breezehome has never worked for me but the one in Riften and Solitude does. Still don't want to use them until the patch though.

There's been at least two times when I've entered my Whiterun house only to see random NPC's standing in my living room. They always make some random standard comment and then leave. I'm like "get out of my house you moroon."LOL

My Whiterun weapon rack works fine.

Eating sweetroles 24/7 isn't a good tactic to seduce people. Maybe I should kill her on my 2nd character as well.

How else can she seduce you with her limited vocabulary?

Eating sweetrolls in front of you is her way of saying "Want some sugar?"

Also it NPC's often follow inside if they were speaking to you or interacting with you in some way, also if they were near the door when you opened it. No idea why this happens just seems to be a oversight on Beths part.
