Im thinking of getting FNV for pc but I wont get it till I know some key things , dont worry about telling me about the game I have it for 360, and Im a fallout nerd so I know a lot about the fallout series. Below are my questions .
Do you have to by mods?
When you install them does it take up space on your computer?
Can I make my own mod?
And add anything else you want cause I will need to know it , thanks!

Mods are always free and always will be.
Yes they take up space. How much depends on the size of the mod obviously.
You can make your own mods using the G.E.C.K, but you will have to learn how to use it. Some mods are easy to make (like renaming a weapon or making it do 100000000 damage) others are not so easy like creating new meshes and textures (unless you think making meshes and textures is easy lol).

No, because mods are stored externally. You write down the bits that make up each mod on a sheet of paper, and when Fallout starts you show your webcam that bit of paper and it reads in the mod. If you plan on storing a large number of mods you may want to invest in a new bookcase.

I have at least 100 bookcases invested in holding all my mods. It's tough work getting around the house...

You can download mods without login, though I recommend you to register (there is a free version of membership), because that way you can track you favourite mods for updates easily.

You don't have to be a member to download every file on the nexus but if they are larger than 2MB (I think it's 2 might be 3) then you have to be a member to download it. It only takes a second to register anyway and you can download anything and you can track updates and rate mods and stuff.

If you want to use mods I recommend getting to know Wrye Flash which is a mod managing program on the nexus. It might look complicated at first but don't be afraid of it because it makes installing and managing mods a breeze and you're probably going to need it to sort out mod conflicts with the bashed patch anyway if you plan on using alot of game changing ones.
