If you're a 'True Son of Skyrim' (debatable depending on who you ask) then perhaps the Stormcloaks is the way you should go.
In the end though, it depends on what you seem to like more.
Do you want to pick a side that suits your character more from a RP perspective?
Or perhaps you're after what side is better for game play?

not really. depending on which side you choose, some jarls will be replaced. thats about it.

If you don't finish the civil war for either side it adds another quest to the MQ, but finishing it for either side doesn't really change much in-game.

Both sides are equal in their pros & cons, very equal from a non biased view point.

In the end, it is up to your decision to decide which side you agree the most with.

either way, you still get that awesome looking unenchanted stormcloak officer armor which is a collectible if you are a hoarder like me
