What pieces go onto the second floor? I tried using NorRmSm parts but the roof doesn't match up and neither do the sides. advice?

There probably are some pit floor pieces. Otherwise, perhaps you can use an independent floor tile and an independent roof tile, where you can adjust the height as you please.

NorRmSm* seem to match up fine for me... sure you weren't placing "Front" pieces next to "Side" pieces, or something?

Ok, So PoHa was right on that, but I'm still having problems. What NorRmBg wall parts line up with the pit?

I don't think that the two (NorRmBg and NorPit) are meant to go together; at least not easily. The tops and bottom floors tile okay, but you'd have to get creative and cover up those gaps with pillars, rubble, rocks... whatever fits/looks good.
