hey guys, making my 100th character and now i wanna make a shaman/which doctor. for skills i was ganna use conjuration, destruction, restoration, alchemy, and some alteration and 1h. im having trouble choosing a race, i wanna be a human type character. also ive never done the imperial side of the civil war so would this make sense rp wise, i know nords are usually against magic but would the imperials want a shaman on their side? and what quests should i definately do? iv also wanted to do the mage guild cuz iv never done that either. and im guessing foresworn armor? wats the fastest way to get it? any other info would be great especially if anyone knows of famous shamans in the elder scrolls lore. thanks guys

the quest that starts when you enter makarth rewards you with very shaman like armour if followed through correctly.

Honestly the only races I can picture in the niche of a Shaman/Witch Doctor are Orsimer and Breton.

Concerning Orcs, it would depend on whether you want to consider your character a "City Orc" or an Orc raised in a Stronghold who eventually left to pursue other interests. In Strongholds, "the only woman in the stronghold who is not the chief's blood relative or wife is the wise woman, the spiritual guide of the stronghold." Taken from UESP Lore Article on Orcs. So a female Orc would make alot more sense, but male should be okay too.

Concerning Breton, I don't really know anything lore-wise.

Concerning the Civil War, it's entirely up to you honestly. I'd think that the Imperials would surely accept you. For some reason I can't see the Stormcloaks wanting any magic caster fighting with/for them though.
