Here's hoping Caesar's Legion has an Oblivian style arena ar

I'd love another arena type of area in New Vegas. It would most likely operated by Caesar's Legion for obvious reasons. I didn't like how enemies could use guns in the Pitt's arena. I hope if one is included, it is melee/unarmed only. You could start off fighting low rank slaves, and maybe some of the later opponents are high level Caesar's Legion troops. Which each advancement in rank, your Caesar's Legion fame rises.

Also, dammit, spelled Oblivion wrong in title.

Loved the arena in both The Pitt and Oblivion, I would be damn glad to see it again in New Vegas but expanded on.

For me, it was the only time radiation almost became an actual threat.

The arena in the pitt was a bit lack luster IMO, not long enough either.

I hated how they did it in oblivion. A set number of matches? then all you get to fight are mnotaurs.

I hope we can come back every so days and pick a fight between humans(ghouls/mutants) or creatures.

This idea was out here aong time ago. Also I wouldn't mind the throwing spear and bow(if they have one) being in it.

2 ways to join. As a slave, or you join and volunteer to fight in the arena.

Agreed on the melee/unarmed guns wouldn't make much sense. Say someone gets a bit trigger happy and starts potshotting into the crowd. CL probrably wouldn't like you killing their money source.

You should add in an 'I don't care' poll option. Because I'm neutral on this. It'd be interesting, but I never intend to side with CL.

As long as there are no deathclaws and that I can become Arena Champion.

Only if it's melee only. An arena with guns just isn't cool.

Agreed, No point in an arena full of firearms. Gritty hand-to-hand combat is a must. :tops:

I'm not into fighting people in arenas. I hate doing it in Borderlands and it's not my cup of tea. Maybe because I'm a girl, but I try to avoid fighting people as much as possible. Killing is another story.

An arena like in Oblivion or The Pitt? Hellz Yeah!!!! :tops: The Pitt arena was a little too easy, but the idea is awesome. It would be nice if you could fight in the arena for or against Caesar's Legion.

I'd rather it be more like Thunderdome, than Oblivion's Arena.

(IE. Enter with no equipment, and grab what you can.... guns may have limited or no ammo, and weapon conditions could cause them to break with the first use).

I guess it'd be kinda cool, so long as it sticks to melee weapons.

Definitely. It just fits with the roman theme real well.

I would want the ability to choose melee or firearm games. I like both.
Also, I'd want to choose between creatures and human opponents.
To balance all this you should probably get less XP for killing arena opponents.

There should also be "advancement" rounds- playing through them would be linear like Oblivion's arena series. At the end you become the Champ and any further "Advancement" rounds would just be accepting challengers to your position.

If there is an arena, will we have a questline for it that weaves a story or will we just have a once a day kill a bunch of stuff?
Cause I'd like there to be a storyline for it, to learn stuff about the enemies I have to face in the ring.
Just entering the ring and killing what they throw at you is no fun, can do that out in the wasteland.

Yes, for a while now I've been hoping for an old sports stadium to be converted into a CL colloseum. It would also give another gambling aspect to it, if we could bet on fights.

I also agree on a boxing ring, but It'd settle for an arena. I thought they mentioned there was an arena in one of the casinos earlier this year?

I read in a magazine months ago how there were more things in the casino than the developers let the reporter see. I've been hoping there's bare knuckle boxing in a back room or something of that nature. Arena would be cool too.

I'd love a arena, but considering that it is Ceasar's Legion, It should be called the Colosseum and the fights could be separated between unarmed/melee fights al'a gladiators and than regular old firefights.

This would give a place for melee/unarmed oriented characters a place to shine. I disagree with the guns in the arena, it wouldn't make sense.

CL armorer: yeah hears a assault rifle, don't shoot any of the onlookers won'tcha?

PC:...................yeah sure. (proceeds to shoot the crowds in the bleachers.)

I wouldn't go to an arena where you'd get shot at, I payed good money to watch someone else be killed not me.
And CL would lose their money source from no one returning to watch the fights.
But maybe throwing spears and a 'possible' bow for range weapons.

And yes like awhile back we want a football stadium to be the arena, explains the abundance of shoulder pads worn by CL troops. Also a crucifix in place of the goal posts on each side. :)
