Hidden Gems

Post » Tue Nov 29, 2011 5:34 am

Just watched Cube 2:Hypercube off of my Netflix insta que after having played the CUBE Experimental mod for FO3, and i must say it was a great movie! Sure the acting was awful at times and I caught the big reveal pretty early on but it did raise some interesting theories about time and the like, obviously very far fetched but sometimes when i have some intense deja vu it does feel as if life is sort of the paradoxical alternate reality that occurs in the movie. Im not too sure about the message of the movie but i think im fairly accurate in my view that its a methaphor for the world and how each generation is doomed to make the same mistakes as the one before it and eventually that will all catch up with us in the end. But im not here to discuss philosophy or world views. Im more interested in your hidden gems you have found either on TV, at a place of rental, or on Netflix.

This is the thread to reveal them, praise them and discuss them. Enjoy!

Ooo almost forgot another movie that deserves some recognition and that is Rampage. Mostly just an adrenaline fueled slaughter in the same vain as Postal but adapted for the 21st century internet generation. Again, B-Movie status here.

My friend talks about the Cube movies. He said they were pretty good. I have yet to see one.

My apologies, Im assuming you worked for a rental company and if so I do have to say I miss the days of going to a Movie Gallery and picking up a movie and two games for the weekend. Im sad to see much of that is gone and in fact avoided joining Netflix for years because of the same issue. Right now im just on a free trial.
