I am at the bit on the MQ where Odaving takes you to that place. I bought incinerate and thunderbolt before i went there thinking they would be powerful. My magic is lvl 70 with various perks invested into it. Also i am lvl 33, when i got there i met a draugr scourge and a dragon. When i used one of the spells it would use up half my magicka and do literally no damage on either of them. At lvl 70 magic this is the best i can have? Help please

A sure as I can tell you that destruction magic in Skyrim is lacking...due to the cost/damage ratio being out of whack, there will be people that will come along and tell you that it is perfectly fine. This is erroneous information, compared to the two handed and one handed skills, as well as archery, conjuration, and ilusion, Destruction is not in the same league. IMO it is best left as a supplemental skill only.
