[REQ] High Res Iron Sights + 3rd person mode camera at the m

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 5:05 pm

The Iron Sights are terribly LOW RES while i played on 1920X1080 resolution. It totally spoilt my gaming experience......
However, is there workaround to make the 3rd person camera focuses on the back of the character? the camera seems to be focusing the character at the left hand side...

Requesting high res iron sights : D
+ third person mode camera workaround

Unfortunately, "iron sights" in New Vegas actually make your character stare down the sights of the weapon - unlike whatever you've been playing, which likely superimposes a texture instead. You won't get high-resolution "iron sights" without replacing the texture of every weapon you want when higher resolution ones.

You shouldn't even be able to see that clearly anyways. When you look down sights you're supposed to look at the target, not the sights :P

Can this engine handle depth of field for guns and all?

It would be amazing if every time we aimed down the sights, there would be a slight blur on the gun so the textures wont be as bad.

It most certainly can.

The fun part is finding (or writing) the shader, and figuring out how to apply it when the sights are up (yet not doing it with the scopes).

http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=34744. It also pulls the camera back far enough that you can see your character from head to toe, like Oblivion and Fallout 3.
