Look at that map. No explanation needed.

HIgh Rock is a little small don't you think? On the other hand that means that they can make it very detailed.

I somehow doubt they dare tackle any nation even remotely involved with the Thalmor. TBH though I'd suspect Black Marsh or Hammerfell too.
Considering they chose Skyrim because it had "the most lore already established," I doubt they'll touch Black Marsh anytime soon (Argonians having probably the least amount of lore), and considering how comically stupid evil the Thalmor are, I doubt we ever see them from any other perspective as "enemy." Hammerfell seems to fit that ticket better since they're also fighting the Thalmor, whereas High Rock doesn't seem to have any involvement or issues with them.

If they place it 20+ years from the events of Skyrim, anything could happen.

Map size doesn't matter. Skyrim and cyrodiil are nearly as big in-game, but cyrodiil looks a lot bigger on the map.

Actually I'm hoping for Alinor, with the MQ starting a rebellion against the thalmor. That and I want to visit homeland.

No thanks. We've already been there in Daggerfall - I'd rather explore an entirely new province, such Alinor or Valenwood.

And that map isn't exactly a good representation of the location of the next TES. We could easily explore any of those provinces - even Morrowind, which could well be rebuilding by the next TES game.

Alinor and Valenwood are the same place practically...

Agreed Valenwood or Alinor would be nice, I'm really hoping that it won't be Elswyr though, I don't really like the dessert enviroment.

It's different I think, kinda like both high rock and cyrodiil are different provinces but under the empire besides their culture and enviroment are different.

I want to see Black marsh in the next game. :) Argonians fascinates me, and they're an underestimated race in Skyrim. :(

I would hope even Bethesda is capable of acknowledging that people will get really worn out on the "93243987 YEARS HAVE PASSED" trick if they use it too much. It's an excuse to redesign the entire cultures, politics and happenings of the TES universe, as seen in Skyrim.

They COULD of course, but I'm sure we'd all be ticked if they did it on the Summerset Isle, said "600 YEARS HAVE PASSED" and suddenly the Thalmor are a non-issue.

They are underestimated indeed. I personally hate them.

I like Khajits but really...a game in a place with nothing more than sand and 2-3 underground clan camps?!

Most certainly not!
True, they're both ruled by the Thalmor, but in terms of lore they're very, very different.

Valenwood is home to Walking Trees which house the Bosmer cities. The Bosmer live under the Green Pact - they eat their slain enemies, are purely carnivorous and do not harm Valenwood's natural resources for ANY reason. They even have to import wood for their houses!

I'd suggest looking up Valenwood on The Imperial Library or even UESP for more information.

Edit:
The Thalmor renamed Summerset Isle 'Alinor'. So the nation shares a name with its Capital.

Either way, it's false information. To the best of my knowledge, Valenwood is still Valenwood.

At the same time, I'd get bored to see the Thalmor as such a big part of the next TES, or the next after that.

I'm thinking Hammerfell for the next game.
It is in many ways a polar opposite to Skyrim, something that could be interesting, and throughout Skyrim we gain insights into Redguard culture, perhaps foreshadowing it.
It could also set up the Thalmor as the main enemy, depending on the time period.

I agree they're a very dull antagonist (stupid evil), but nevertheless, rapid changes in cultures and politics is unhealthy for the storyline too.
